White House communications director Steven Cheung accused the Norwegian Nobel Committee of placing “politics over peace” with its decision not to name President Donald Trump as the winner of the 2025 Nobel Peace Prize.
Instead, it awarded the prize to Venezuelan opposition activist María Corina Machado.
In a statement shared on X, formerly Twitter, Cheung claimed that Trump “will continue making peace deals, ending wars, and saving lives.”

But wait, talk about Orwellian insanity.

Trump “has the heart of a humanitarian,” he argued, adding that “there will never be anyone like him who can move mountains with the sheer force of his will.”

Next they will claim that war is peace.....

Trump's an idiot. He would not even be eligible until next year.

According to Nobel's will, the Peace Prize is awarded to the person who in the preceding year "shall have done the most or the best work for fraternity between nations, for the abolition or reduction of standing armies and for the holding and promotion of peace congresses"

Of course even if this treaty holds I don't think he should get it next year. He's only interested in stopping the war in order to get the prize. Not some deep feeling for anyone involved. He despises Palestinians. Same with Russia/Ukraine. He has no real interest in stopping that war on humanitarian grounds. All he wants is the Peace Prize. And he's given up on Ukraine because he can't get tough on his pal Putin.

He's threatened to annex Canada, Greenland and Panama and is threatening a war with Venezuela.

And his efforts to start a civil war in the US, crack down on constitutional rights here, thwart democracy here in around the world his cruel policies against everyone who's not a white MAGA would make him a terrible choice for the Peace Prize.

He is being set up to "betray" Israel, because there is a play that opens an empty power vacuum to whoever deposes the liar/leader who treats with Israel and betrays them.

They're setting up the greatest of all Hail Mary plays and I am still staggeringly confused as to how people either don't see this, or how nobody is talking about it.

Part of that "power play" involves major destruction of major cities and huge levels of economic unrest that, honestly, seem unavoidable at this point.

He is literally being manipulated into trying a thing in the middle east that WILL fail, and then he will throw a tantrum and wreck shit, and that's just ONE stage of a major global power-play by the Dominionists.

How many of the notes in that horrible apocalyptic tune end up being hit determines just how successful the resultant regime is in cementing absolute theocracy and hegemony, assuming they can pull out the "triumphal return" which will almost assuredly be AI shaped given Thiel's interest in AI and preventing its regulation...

But the most necessary note is getting Trump to betray Israel.

There is a school in or near my little city that serves the kids who have severe cognitive issues. I wonder if that one is supported by federal funds or mostly state funds. I met a woman who has either a child or grandchild who attends that school. I have no idea who she voted for as we didn't discuss politics and I think it was prior to the election, as it was about a year ago and we just chatted for awhile outside of our senior center. She told me it was a fairly long drive to bring the child to that school but the school had an excellent reputation so she was happy to do it. So sad that the asshole doesn't care about anyone but himself and a few of those who kiss his ass. Sadder yet, that so many people thought he cared about them.

More than half of CDC staffers recently fired by Trump administration have been reinstated

Hundreds of staff fired from the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention late Friday have been reinstated, according to the American Federation of Government Employees.

After a new round of layoff notices sent late Friday night to around 1,300 workers at the CDC, approximately 700 were reinstated on Saturday, while about 600 remain laid off, according to the union, which represents federal workers.
