As always enforcement will be very selective. If he likes the results he will compliment the state officials for organizing mail-ins with integrity. When California uses mail-in, OTOH, he and his MAGA stooges (e.g. Speaker Johnson) will refuse to seat any of their Congressmen or accept their slate of Electors.
Is this plausible? He is already doing worse than this with little objection from the GOP. Those who claim that we are not already in full-blown fascism have blinders on.

All we can do is keep fighting to try to prevent what doesn't have to be inevitable, so it doesn't help to simply give up. I'm reading a terrific book called,"Democracy Awakening" ( I'll have to check the author later ) She takes us back before the civil war to explain how this plan to have a racist, sexist autocratic government has been in the works long before we were all born, but it did pick up a lot of speed under Nixon and became worse under Reagan. Still, they didn't destroy our democracy like the felon and his toadies are doing. But, that doesn't mean there isn't a chance to end this.
In fact when the constitution was written, making the claim that all men were created equal, what they really meant was all educated upper class white men. It didn't include women, black people, Native Americans or what were known even back then, as poor white trash, who usually ended up as indentured servants. So, one could say, we've been here before and we've overcome the worst and continued to work toward becoming a "more perfect union". We've never been perfect and never will be, but perhaps "we shall overcome" is what we should remember from the past more than anything because this country has overcome a lot, despite often taking several steps backwards.
Let's see what happens when Trump, assuming he's still alive, tries to run for a third term. Steve Bannon said the other day that the plan is in the works and Trump was appointed by the divine to have another term.
If I was a believer, I'd say he was appointed by Satan. Anyway, perhaps that will be the last thing we can ether let happen or we can unite to end this disgraceful period of time.
