They were saying that Trump doesn't need congress anymore. He passed everything he needed them for in the Big Beautiful Bill. He can get large sums of money from private donors (because congress holds the "power of the purse"). He even made sure to screw the working class in the BBB. If he forgot to do that he might have been powerless to do that otherwise. Unless he did something like DOGE. I guess the government shutdown would stop eventually somehow.

The BBB doesn't do nearly enough for Trump to ignore the lack of a budget. And we need to remember that this is about passing a temporary funding (kick the can) bill. Congress needs to actually do a budget. Of which the Democrats won't support without GOP stopping Trump from his illegal impounding of funds.

As I mentioned before, Trump approvers are more likely to vote than disapprovers.
BUT Rasmussen Report's daily surveys of likely voters. show Trump's approval is worst yet in 2025.

I take Ginkgo Biloba daily: It allegedly improves memory. Perhaps America needs that in its drinking water.

Yeah, after all Trump has done... strongly disapprove < 50%. Those were his numbers in his first term, before unleashing an unhinged and unrestricted ICE to meet quotas... I mean deport dangerous illegal criminals.

The American public does not have the highest moral standards. It never did, even back in the 1800s.
