Was there a white man around to support or warn you when you were up on that platform trying to put a sign on that building a few years back?

I'm thinking box and parade with many black men playing radical trumpet, trombone, sax, tuba, and drum.

Sure you feel safe, but do you feel persecuted? Because feeling a false sense of persecution is all the rage nowadays. Just ask your white male Christian friends..."so, what's it like being a persecuted minority?"

They'll say "awesome! I get to feel like I'm a victim when I want (like when I'm watching Fox News) and then when I want some relief from my persecuted status, I just hail a cab!"


It really is the best of both worlds.

I'm for it. A few seconds into the video illustrates why. It's not enough to simply talk about the case at hand, but there's a frequent need to tack on a case of imaginary persecution in the form of "If a white person did this...". I don't get the point. Are we all supposed to knowingly nod our heads at the hypocrisy evident in a situation which never took place to begin with? It's so absurd that even in a case where the speakers are talking about what they see as discrimination against white people, they have to make an additional fictional case against a white person facing hypocrisy for imaginarily doing the same thing.

I get it is not just white men and Christians who pull the "If a ___ person had done that, they'd have been treated way differently". I just don't think other groups take it to the absurd degree of imaginary victimhood anywhere near as often. If there are actual events which really did happen in the real live world to white people -- and I'm sure cases do exist --, by all means, discuss. If you call it 'white rights advocacy' you will be criticized in countries where white people are the majority (in terms of population and share of power held), but so fucking what? Every rights advocacy group deals with that. Start it anyway and see if you have the wherewithal to weather the shitstorm virtually every other group had to face to get a voice and a little acceptance. See if fighting against the struggles of Christians and white men are facing -- whatever you think they are -- is even worth the hassle. Instead of crying about how no one is willing to champion the cause, grow a fucking pair and be your own damn champion, and do it without being so bloody thin-skinned.

(on the off chance it isn't clear, I am using 'you' in the general sense and not referring to any person in the thread).

Actually, a black man was supposed to help me that day, but he overslept. True story.

I do have a t-shirt with an arrow pointing down and the words, "Persecute This," on the front.
 
Jesus Tap Dancing Christ - that video. I stopped when one of the talking twits asked "Is the free speech or is this hate speech"?

But those people do have a point. Outside of a few poster at this site, no one is trying to protect my back as a white male. Really, I feel like there is a big target on my backside, seeing "Kick me, then attack Christmas" on it.
