What are you watching on YouTube?

CNN, "real news" lol!
It is "real news", based on research which happened and that you don't like. Just because you don't like the research doesn't mean it didn't happen.

CNN is a joke. Although I think it is trying to get its act together.

The research wasn't presented in any meaningful way in the clip. The clip is just a random guy giving his propaganda.

I don't you understand quite how conservative Americans "reason" their way through things.

You clearly don't understand that I am not a conservative or indeed American. I am a naturalized US citizen but I don't consider myself to be American. Or conservative.

So how was the research presented differently in the clip? Surely you can give an explanation.

My apologies, I did not mean to imply that you are American, though you clearly watch plenty of our far right media in addition to the British tabloids.

"Differently"? I never said it was presented "differently". I said the research wasn't presented in any meaningful way. It's a short clip of some rando youtuber giving his take on research done by a couple of dudes in Berkley. And I don't care about the research. I have no interest in what viewers of Fox News think any more than what CNN viewers think. CNN is crap, Fox is crap, I don't watch either of them.

CNN "real news", lol.

I found a synopsis from Yale of the study in question. Its linked here, which has the link to the original working research paper if you want to check that out. All 80 pages of the paper are there. From the link:

Millions of Americans count right-leaning Fox News as their primary source of information about politics and current events. A new working paper co-authored by Yale political scientist Joshua Kalla presents evidence of the influence such partisan media outlets wield over people’s attitudes on the major issues of the day.

For the study, Kalla and co-author David Broockman of the University of California-Berkeley, conducted an experiment in which they recruited a sample of regular Fox News viewers and paid a random subset of them to watch rival cable news network CNN from Aug. 31 through Sept. 25, 2020. They found that the people who switched to CNN for four weeks developed different views on a variety of issues, including President Donald Trump’s handling of the COVID-19 pandemic and the racial justice protests that followed the killing of George Floyd, than those who continued watching Fox News.

They call out CNN by name. They do not call it "real news" in the research paper, like the bozo in the video did. And that's been my bone of contention from the get-go. Honestly, you seem to be awfully confused about this whole thing.

Um, and? They're not saying CNN is unreliable anywhere in the paper. In what sense is CNN being "called out"?

For atheist content, there are untold hours of The Atheist Experience and Deconstruction Zone with Justin. These are both call-in shows where the Christians call in, with various levels of IQ on display.
I've watched some pretty good documentary content from "Not the Good Girl." She's a former evangelical who does expose's on pastors, churches, and prominent right wing "Christians." Her two-part deep dive into the fall of the Daystar network was pretty good.

I listen to The Line and Dr. Blitz a lot but should listen to DZ more.

Now I'm convinced you are awfully confused about this whole thing. :banghead:

I'm convinced you're distorting what the paper says to fit your narrative.

I clicked on this to see what the source of the "real news" was. It was CNN. ... ... Reliability-wise, its probably on par with Fox News, but with a left bias instead of right.
Yeah? Is that what FauxNews told you?
CNN may have a bias, But it is not the outright lies, and opinion claming to be facts, that Faux is.
That is why CNN is considered 'REAL' news, compaired to Faux.

I watch a lot of the Deconstruction Zone and The Line.
Another one I've been watching more of is Dr. Blitz. He does a variety of streams, but he knows how to get to the core of the argument. He does some Ask a Physicist streams too that are pretty informative.

Yes, I've seen Dr. Blitz on DZ questioning science deniers. His patience with those idiots is impressive.
