Clicking through FoxNews I meandered into a YouGov page which reports on a survey. People were asked to pick the most important issues (up to five) facing the country. I don't know if the results are interesting or important but it was a bit of a bother to extract the numbers from their graphic; having done so I thought to save others the bother.

I see that you decided to post the list as sorted by Republican interest as opposed to the interests of all registered voters. Is there a reason for that?

Climate change and the environment is the most pressing issue in terms of human survival. It got less than 10% of registered Republicans.

The second most important issue in terms of human survival is nuclear weapons.

That doesn't even make the list.

But 19% of Republican voters are very concerned about cancel culture.

Charlton Heston said it best:

"It's a madhouse".

It was the page that I cited that sorted them that way. I noticed it after I'd added tags, thought of changing the sort order, saw little point.

Stupid poll didn't include the most important issue for Republican voters:

"Making our political opponents sad".

Most GOP voters would vote to have their testicles nailed to the ceiling with a rusty spike, if doing so would make 'The libs' sad.

Sadism is definitely a part of the right wing mentality in the US.

Trump breaking up families at the border was a policy to gain support of racists and sadists.

It took me a while to grok this. What many "conservatives" seem to like isn't so much Donald Trump or Boris Johnson themselves, but that they piss off the kind of people who piss them off.

Pwning the Libs - 85%

Agree with you. Notice also how immigration and border control gets almost exactly the same amount of registered Democrats. Yet border control is also extremely important atleast concerning the survival of the nation and wages for the poor. Its just too bad the Democrats can't agree to close the borders in exchange for the Republicans agreeing to tax carbon. But such reasonableness by either side can never happen.

Also agree with you. No one seems to care anymore, certainly not the Democrats or Hillary Clinton antagonizing Putan by calling him the devil.

But 19% of Republican voters are very concerned about cancel culture.
I'm surprised this isn't higher. The ability of liberal monopolized media to cancel their opponents the Republicans is the antithesis of what this country is founded upon.

The survival of the nation is not threatened by poor desperate people crossing into the US through the southern border.

If you care about border control you should be working to increase the power of unions south of the border.

Unions are the only instrument that the poor can use to advance and get a fair wage.

US imperial capitalism has propped up despots and corrupted governments south of the border for decades.

You want less poor people trying to break in?

Give them opportunity at home.

Also omitted the most important issue for Democrats: VOTING RIGHTS

Were's Election Fraud?

That would have been high on the Republicans' list had it been included, but probably not near "pwning the 'libs".

I don't know Amigo: republicans are the kings of cancel culture. You all tried to cancel millions of black votes in the 2020 election in Philadelphia and Georgia. Your side has formed massive boycotts against NASCAR (when it banned the confederate flag); Colin Kaperneck; The Dixie Chicks; Disney land, Nike, Ellen, and even French Fries! I can go on and on...
