Secondly, I don't have the tech skills to launch the next movie still...that's up to someone else. Thank you in advance.
I'll try to talk you thru how I do it. It's been working for me lately.
1. Google "movie still" plus the name of a movie. In this case, I'm using
Earth Girls Are Easy. So, Google "movie still earth girls are easy".
2. Click thru on one of the pictures to get a bigger version. Right click on the bigger picture, and select save image. That didn't work. I'll go back to step one.
1. Google "movie still treasure of the siera nevada," only spell siera right. And for that matter, "nevada" turns out to be "Madre."
2. Then you have to scroll down, and select something that promises stills rather than reviews or the whole movie. In this case, I choose
[h=3]The Treasure of the Sierra Madre (1948) - Movie stills and photos
[/h]3. Pick a still. Click thru to a larger version. Hmm, "Only premium members and contributors can download this picture."
1. Google "free movie stills."
2. Scroll down to something that looks promising. In this case, "
[h=3]High quality movie stills? : movies - Reddit
[/h]3. Scroll down to a likely image, click thru. That didn't work.
3. Scroll farther down, pick another image, click thru.
4. Right click on the larger (only not larger in this particular case) image, and click on SAVE IMAGE AS.
5. The thing is, if you want to post the image, you have to be able to find it, you have to know where it went. So, in my case, I save them all to my desktop. That way I know where to look for them. In this case, I renamed the image "soho," because that's easier than whatever it was called before.
6. Now I'm going up to the top of this text window, and hovering over an icon of the earth with the pull-top from an old beer can. The hover pop-up says "link." No, that's wrong. But two icons to the right of that is a tiny painting by Bob Ross. When I hover there is says, "Insert image." I click that.
7. Now I get a pop-up window called "Insert Image." The first choice, which I used to overlook, is the tabs. One says, "From Computer," and the other says, "From URL." You want "From Computer." At least I do, since I usually fail when using "From URL." Plus, if you use "From URL," there was no point in saving the image to your desktop.
The thing about those tabs is that they are an optical illusion. The one that looks like it is selected isn't the one that is actually selected. Or at least that's how it looks to me. So I have to actually click on "From Computer" in order to know I have selected that.
8. Click browse.
9. Select desktop. Sort by file type. Locate the jpg files. Hope that your picture was a jpg type. Locate, in this case, soho.jpg.
10. Double-click soho.jpg.
11. This, inexplicably takes you back to the Insert Image pop-up. What good is that? Click "Upload Files."
