And who cares if it was original. He adapted folk tunes brilliantly. Rite of Spring is as good as orchestral music gets. Petrushka is great too.

And who cares if it was original. He used folk tunes and improved on it. Rite of Spring is as good as orchestral music gets. Petrushka is cool too.

You're preaching to the choir. I don't care if his melodies were original. Still, it's interesting, no?

Some composers are more melodic than others, that's all. Stravinsky was brilliant with rhythm and orchestration, among other things, isn't that enough?
