Lari was one of the first "celebrities" I met in country radio. Very sweet lady, and like a lot of people never quite broke big, but had a few hits in the 90s.

Just learned that she passed away after a brief battle with cancer.

She also had a bit of a career in acting. If you saw "Cast Away," she was the lady in the pickup truck who meets Tom Hanks' character at the end of the movie.

Yep, that's her. At first I wasn't sure, but if you look closely when she closes the pickup truck door, you'll notice that she's missing half of her little finger. She lost it as a child, and I remember her talking about how when they were filming her music videos the producers tried to hide it from the camera.
