Just found this Japanese group that was most popular in the early 90s. Did they copy their name from the novelty song?





The purposeful dissonance of the vocals of the second song is awesome, better than The Roches and almost as good as Bulgarian choirs.

The Ninth symphony at historic tempo. Meaning, metronome marks at the time were to be rendered two clicks to the beat instead of one. "Double beat" as opposed to "single beat". A contentious theory within classical music.

Anyway, to me, the first and second movements are unimpressive, though there are beautiful moments in the second. The third is superb(the tempo is not much slower than usual), but the fourth is other-worldly beautiful. YMMV.
