The Ninth symphony at historic tempo. Meaning, metronome marks at the time were to be rendered two clicks to the beat instead of one. "Double beat" as opposed to "single beat". A contentious theory within classical music.
Anyway, to me, the first and second movements are unimpressive, though there are beautiful moments in the second. The third is superb(the tempo is not much slower than usual), but the fourth is other-worldly beautiful. YMMV.
