Right now I'm listening to Jamey Johnson's "In Color."
As I recall from talking to people who met him, he managed to write some hits, but he didn't really give a flying F about being famous himself, and kinda went his own way after he'd had some success. Great songwriter with a great voice.

This is dated in the best sense meaning that it is firmly pegged to the mid 1970s and it would be very rare to make this now with the strings and not resort to some synthesizers.

Tonight as a xmas present to me I downloaded the other 18 concerts of the summer 2019 tour. It's almost like what it was like back in the Jerry days!
Here is the first set opener to Foxboro, Ma, 6-22-19. Eyes of the World. So good. Skip forward about 6 min, 45 seconds in to where the song starts. My boys and I are back left. Little dots in the packed stadium.
