I remember the first time I heard Total Eclipse of the Heart. I was nineteen years old, sitting in my buddy’s AMC Hornet getting high when it came on the radio. I knew it wasn’t just the weed. It was a damn good song.

Apparently it was written for a vampire movie; The movie was never made, but the song was considered too good to waste, and was released anyway.

There are so many great bass players out there. I've got a soft spot for Geddy Lee (have seen Rush 5 times), but there's also Steve Harris from Iron Maiden, Jaco, Bootsy, Flea, the criminally under-rated Stu Hamm, etc.

Les Claypool is a mad genius. This riff is bonkers.
