Virtual bands made up of fictional characters are nothing new. Lots of people loved  Gorillaz, for example. If anything is different about K/DA is that it's made up of video game characters from a particular game. It looks like real effort went into this. The real artists are recognizable names: 2 K-pop artists and 2 American artists, and the song seems to be gaining real popularity.
