Hotel room.
Just a much shorter list of things that could go wrong.
The hotel doesn't have to dock to refuel, resupply, repair. The building won't sink (in all normal and credible abnormal environments). If tye building loses power, the winds won't knock into a reef. Don't have to worry about the still going down and losing potable water.

Most, if not all, of the hotels around here are closed.

Wow. All docked out. Maybe we can come aboard?

Dude...we don't hear about your gal Salma anymore. Did you two have a fight or did she just get to old and you kicked her to the curb?

I've always had a thing for Dawn Wells and the Mary Ann character. Just very sexy, down to earth and sweet. How can you not just love this woman?

Yup, if I'm going to be cut off this is the right place. That's all I really miss with the isolating--no hiking.

You guys have a no hiking rule in place? We can still take walks (6 feet apart except with housemates/dogs) and hikes.

No rule, just far more people trying to hike than can do so while maintaining distancing unless you want to head out cross country in unfamiliar terrain. We have had multiple rounds of trailheads with far too many people to maintain distancing so they get closed, thus increasing the demand elsewhere. I'm only aware of one substantial trailhead in the desert that hasn't shown up on the closure list. The mountain trailheads I believe have some seasonal closures still in effect and they have cut the number of parking spaces available and aren't letting people onto the mountain if there isn't a parking space for them. The west side of the mountain isn't restricted--but it's the realm of jeeps and their cousins, not ordinary cars and what trails exist over there are hard to follow.

I don’t see the difference? A cruise liner is a hotel room - except with less medical care, I guess.

I’m really really happy to be exactly where I am. In a town with a population density of 40 people per square mile.

It's much easier to get out of a hotel if I really have to.

She's 53 now, and has gained a little weight. But I still wouldn't say no to her, if she asked me nicely with sugar on top. behold, Salma.
