Where's the lack of gun crime in Canada?

Yes, one anecdote about Toronto certainly is indicative of all of Canada.

And what's up with US health care? They spend more on it than anyone else on the planet, but I heard someone had Ebola, just like on of those third world African countries. Sounds like they're just waiting a bunch of cash without any results.

Really Loren? The US has 10.3 gun deaths per 100k a year, Canada only has 2.2 ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_firearm-related_death_rate )

Just because they have gun related deaths too doesn't mean they have anywhere near the gun problem the US does.

That, plus: I'm willing to bet that most of the guns that end up killing people in Canada have been legally obtained - in the US (the same has been claimed for Mexico). So lax US gun laws lead not only to a much higher rate of gun related deaths in the US, but are even partly to blame for Canadian gun related deaths.

The problem in Canada is not too many guns, it';s not enough Canadians. The average Canadian goes several days without seeing another Canadian. He could empty a large capacity magazine at random and not hit anything but rocks and trees, maybe the occasional beaver or moose.

Well, the important thing is that we try our best to kill each other and we have fun doing it. It's not important that the Americans manage to kill more of each other than we do, just that we make the effort.

We won't talk about the murder rate when hatchets, harpoons, and treble hooks are included in the statistics. That's Canada's dirty little secret.

Don't forget our hordes of genetically enhanced rabid beavers. They're why Putin's armies are pissing around in Ukraine instead of streaming across your northern border. Say what you will about the man, he knows better than to take on our super rodents.

That's Canada's whole problem in a nutshell. Come on, guys! Try not. Do, or do not. There is no try.

And that's America's whole problem in a nutshell. You let puppets tell you what to do.

There are some who think Canada's violent murder rate is artificially depressed because so many bodies are not discovered until the spring thaw, long after the wolves have taken their share.

GO USA! GO USA! We're #1! We're #1! Canucks can suck it! Aussies? Pussies! Europeans? Commies!

None of you people know True FreedomTM. :moonie:

And 2/3s of the gun deaths in the US are suicides. (I think everyone has the right to commit suicide - with a few caveats). Not to mention things are getting better not worse.
