Who Agrees Fourth Wave Feminism is Toxic Femininity And Should Be Abolished?

I'm afraid it is hard to understand.
Apparently, even though it is pretty easy.

Are the "men" who gave women everything the same men who are complaining that women have everything? If so, then yes, they have only themselves to blame.

But I submit to you that they're not the same men.
Then they should stop whining about women and to women, but complain to those men.

A lot of the men who did it are dead.

So? In most countries, men are still the ones in power - complain to them. Whether you are capable of understanding it or liking it, for the most part, the current legal and social institutions were created and shaped by men.

BTW, men have social privileges that women don't.

Don't agree with you on the legal privileges

You can choose not to acknowledge facts, I suppose.

Start with one of the most basic legal female privileges: the right to genital integrity from birth. There is no country in the world that forbids the genital mutilation of baby boys.

That's a stretch.

Up to this point in life, I was aware I have to compete with men who have an advantage because they are taller than I am, but never gave any thought as to how being circumcised weakened my competitiveness with women who never suffered this experience.

One of the things I like about TFT is that whenever a meeting if the He-man Woman Haters club is gaveled to order, usually with a quorum of one, there are plenty of people willing to try to rationally talk them in off the ledge.

Your competitiveness is not 'weakened'. Your body was mutilated.

Metaphor is wrong, though.
Half-Life is the one who brags that men ARE (not were) in power, and WE gave women all the rights they currently enjoy. We know this because he also feels that men of today could take those freedoms back if we so choose.
Half-Life also complains that women have more rights than men do.

The two expressed ideas together paint men as powerful, indeed, but stupid. So, if we rule the world, and we don't like the world we made, why bitch about feminism? Bitch about dumb ass men...

Huh? Women are in power too. What country do you live in?

Men did not create and shape social institutions. Men don't have the power to. Social institutions are created and maintained by society.

Women have been lawmakers for decades. But, the men and women responsible for legal inequalities are not also generally responsible for social inequalities.

BTW, men have social privileges that women don't.

Yes, they do.

Don't agree with you on the legal privileges

You don't consider it legal privilege when laws explicitly dole out benefits or protections based explicitly on gender? Or do you dispute that such laws exist? I already gave one example of such a law upthread (an Ontario law that explicitly protects male but not female from being paid less than the other gender, when it cold very easily have simply stated equality despite gender). There are others.

Or taking his premises, the men could be self sacrificing or sacrificing of OTHER men for the benefit of women to try to endear themselves to said women. "Men" are not a monolith and neither are "women". If it was men who created an unfair society to other men, that does not mean they have been stupid (if they are protected by wealth or other privilege) or that the other men are in any way responsible for what they have done. That's an infection of of group level thinking and identity politics over individuals.

Well, halfie only evervtalks in gender-, race-, or politics-based group think identity politics, unless absolutely forced to concede the occasional exception to a rule. So, based on his premise, we have these conclusions.

Yes, they do.

Indeed they do. And its funny that some people think its some sort of gotcha to point that out, as if we'd be disagreeing.

It is an interesting point if the claim is that women have more special privileges than men.
If both groups have their own advantages, then we need to identify each and every advantage before we can see if women have more.
But men having any special privilege does disprove zny cvlaim that women now have all the advantages.

Certainly not socially speaking. They don't. As for what's actually written into the laws, they do, and it is a trend that is increasing. Laws that explicitly favour men are rightly struck down. Laws that explicitly favour women are being enacted and claimed as progressive.

If both groups have their own advantages, then we need to identify each and every advantage before we can see if women have more.

We can work against either having any advantage over the other based simply on their assigned (or chosen) gender, especially when most of these unfair advantages stem from the same root of viewing men as agents who do things to people and women as people to whom things are done. Women should not be infantalized for being women and men should not be vilified simply for being men.

But men having any special privilege does disprove zny cvlaim that women now have all the advantages.

Agreed.

The USA where men hold the Presidency, the Senate, the House, the SCOTUS and the Federal judiciary.

-
Men did not create and shape social institutions.
That is counterfactual. In the US, the US constitution was created and shaped by men which means our entire form of government was created and shaped by men. The military was created and shaped by men.

A man is president. Men don't "hold" the Senate or anything else. You realise there are women in the Senate, right?

So, no woman has shaped any part of public life in the United States? No woman has spearheaded or influenced a law, no woman has made a judicial decision, no woman has held any form of power and exercised it?

But not in the majority.

Is that the only way you can conceive power? That you are powerless if there are other people who outnumber you on some demographic?

Women are in distinct minority and have little power in the Senate. Men dominate the Senate, and the SCOTUS. Right now, the House leader is a woman, but historically up to Ms. Pelosi, it has been run by men.

The fact some women have had some influence does not negate the overwhelming influence of men.

It is the way most people perceive political power in democracies or republics.

What we are beginning to see in America is a war on toxic masculinity. #Me too and #Times up as two notable examples. The usual brush off, "Boys will be boys" no longer will fly as an excuse. No more Harvey Weinsteins or Roger Ailes operating for years with impunity. And the GOP's policies of attacking women's health issues, birth control, destroying Planned Parenthood, eliminating ACA, and trying to avoid re-enacting the Violence Against Women Act and other disreputable actions is going to bite the GOP's butt hard come election day.

We will see a lot of hand wringing about those bad old feminists from the usual crybaby brigade, and their tears will be so enjoyable when the ban hammer comes down on the GOP on election day wielded b angry women voters. We now have only a little longer than a year to wait for this "toxic feminist" reckoning that is surely coming.

I look forward to that day when Trump is swept away by America's women voters like the body of a dead, dried up roach that is swept out of the bathroom remorselessly.

I don't understand you guys. No man in the history of men has ever watched 2 boys bullying each other and said, "Boys will be boys." That's from TV in the Gillette commercial. They showed 2 young kids fighting with each other and about 10 men standing behind their grills outside folded their arms and they all said in unison, "Boys will be boys" as if its some kind of cult. This is why people get upset. I've never said this. No man has. It's a stupid TV cliche. It's not real. What happens when girls bully each other? Do women stand around and say, "Girls will be girls?" Of course not! This is getting so stupid!!!!

This is why Trump is going to win in a landslide. People are getting sick and tired of the leftist agenda treating all men like rapists and bullies. It's degrading and sexist. Men today are certainly getting less masculine and more feminized.

You might want to consider turning off your TV, if you are so easily triggered.

It's not "being triggered" if the leftist agenda is on TV and trying to manipulate people. Imagine if conservatives were in charge of education, television, Hollywood, etc. I'm sure the leftists would be complaining about the conservative agenda as well. So, don't say we have no right to be pissed at the blatant catering to leftists in the media.

So... does Pelosi have power or not? Has she affected nothing and effected nothing because she's outnumbered by men?

The fact some women have had some influence does not negate the overwhelming influence of men.

So... what? If men in the past and present caused the legal advantages that women enjoy, does that mean I have only myself to blame, because I'm a man?
