WHY A RUSSIAN TERRORIST ATTACK COULD BE IMMINENT

You think all the major fearmongers are on the right?

Haven't you been watching who the Democrats have nominated for their presidential candidate?

Yeah - Hillary and more than half of the rest of the country are espousing fear of a Trump presidency, while paying lip service to those who have fallen victim to the Alt-Right terror propaganda.

Ah, such a rich fount of nonsense. You only pay attention to the faults of the other side because your side is without fault. Oh you'll pay lip-service to your side having faults, much like a Christian saying "of course I'm not perfect, all have sinned", without ever admitting to a specific fault. Hillary has been a great fear-monger, and not just of the threat of her best friend Donald Trump. She's been a great fear-monger in favor of the need of all our foreign wars. But that's not to be spoken of, because only the hated other side has any faults.

You failed to show how any of it is nonsense. The line above looks like classic projection. Just another form of the alt-right vacuous mantra: "EMAILSBENGHHAZIOBAMACAREISIS!"

So, you don't accept Hillary's admission about the emails "I fucked up, I'm sorry and it won't happen again" as being specific enough? Sorry Jason - I don't recall Trump EVER saying he's sorry about ANYTHING specific Do you? Here's a list of people and groups he has insulted/attacked. Please check the ones he has apologized for.

Oh really? If she keeps ripping of the middle class to make owners of the military/industrial complex even richer, I'll be voting Republican next time (assuming the pugs have regained enough sanity to refrain from nominating a pathological liar, conman/thief/sex offender.) I reluctantly have to trust that there's enough pressure coming from her left to take a course that won't mean handing the government back to the republicans in 2018. But meanwhile, I can only look on in wonder, as folks like yourself impute false motives and thoughts to people like me.

The US is the one who started this conflict. Russia's hostile intervention against ISIS is logical given the danger it poses to worldwide security and the fact that the US did very little against it at the time.
Assad is the least bad of the evils in that country.
There is zero evidence that Russia is planning to attack US civilians.

This has nothing to do with US National security as the US wants to bomb the Syrian government when it should do more to remove a ISIS which is the real problem.
Russia is flawed in its human rights policies but then so is the USA given the deaths in the Oil for Food program, and also the ongoing destruction in Libya.
Great argument, except that ISIS is not operating in Aleppo. Russia and Assad are doing hardly anything for ISIS, because their goal is to remove all the moderate (and not-so-moderate) rebels. That way Assad remains to only alternative to ISIS.

Backing so called moderates has failed

NATO is setting the stage for its biggest military build-up on Russia's borders since the Cold War

NATO will press allies on Wednesday to contribute to its biggest military build-up on Russia's borders since the Cold War as the alliance prepares for a protracted quarrel with Moscow.
To put things into perspective, here is a map of Russia where the border with NATO is highlighted in red:

russia-nato-border.png

As we can all see, poor Russia is practically surrounded.

Seriously though, it's Russian assholery that prompts its old vassal states to be wary of it shore up their defenses, and they have every right to do so. But it's not too long ago when Poland suggested that Russia should join NATO.

Poor US was surrounded during Cuban Crisis even more than that.
Was that the time when Russia moved its nuclear missiles to Cuba and almost started world war three? A bit like now when Russia is moving its nuclear missiles to Kaliningrad.

No, US moved their nukes to Turkey and Russia responded accordingly.
A bit like now when Russia is moving its nuclear missiles to Kaliningrad.
First of all, there is no information that these are nukes, they most certainly are not. Second of all, it's again a reaction not an action.
The reason I mentioned Cuban Crisis is to show that your map argument is stupid.

How do you know it's not old vassal states assholery?

All it shows is that fearmongering over military build-up near Russia's borders is stupid. Poland, Latvia and Estonia can do whatever the fuck they want in their own countries. Does Russia ask for a permission when it wants to move troops around inside its own country?

In some people's eyes, Russia can do no wrong. It's always NATO or America who are at fault. Boo-hoo, and "look what you made me do" all over again. As I said, the reason why this happens is that Russia is just being the same old bully that has fucked over its neighbours for most of 20th century.

Hence my example of Poland inviting Russia to join NATO. Of course there is history, but clearly at least Poland was willing to bury the hatchet and move on.

They certainly can, but they should shut the fuck up about Russia doing the same. In reality they just can't shut the said fuck up.

Not always, but most of the time.

That was obviously ridiculous suggestion. As for hatchets Russia burried it once when Germany was united and NATO simply moved closer with all their hatchets. Russia is just not making the same mistake again. Russia had some suggestions too. For example they offered to have common missile defence against Iran, US/NATO refused, and we know why, because the whole thing was a lie, it was not against Iran it was/is against Russia.

I call bullshit on "proposals" by Russia. What's to stop having a common missile defence against Iran with some of it in Poland? And how is a missile defence "against Russia"? Only scenario where that would be valid is if Russia were to attack Poland for some reason. If Russia has no such plans, it has nothing to worry about.

Ah, someone did get the Alice humor...

Hey, you two...you are derailing a perfectly serious discussion/debate regarding a....uh....satirical article....oh....never mind carry on. :hobbyhorse:

Dude, you need to educate yourself on the subject of nukes. Right now you are at level "Clueless".

Nuclear missiles, like most weapons, can be used for both defence and offence.

Whether someone who points a weapon in your direction is something to worry about is dependent on your assessment of their motive.

Try walking into a bank with a shotgun, and saying 'It's OK, I only have this for self defence" - I bet the bank staff will worry about you quite a lot*.
