No, US moved their nukes to Turkey and Russia responded accordingly.
A bit like now when Russia is moving its nuclear missiles to Kaliningrad.
First of all, there is no information that these are nukes, they most certainly are not. Second of all, it's again a reaction not an action.
The reason I mentioned Cuban Crisis is to show that your map argument is stupid.
All it shows is that fearmongering over military build-up near Russia's borders is stupid. Poland, Latvia and Estonia can do whatever the fuck they want in their own countries.
They certainly can, but they should shut the fuck up about Russia doing the same. In reality they just can't shut the said fuck up.
Does Russia ask for a permission when it wants to move troops around inside its own country?
In some people's eyes, Russia can do no wrong. It's always NATO or America who are at fault.
Not always, but most of the time.
Boo-hoo, and "look what you made me do" all over again. As I said, the reason why this happens is that Russia is just being the same old bully that has fucked over its neighbours for most of 20th century.

Seriously though, it's Russian assholery that prompts its old vassal states to be wary of it shore up their defenses, and they have every right to do so. But it's not too long ago when Poland suggested that Russia should join NATO.
How do you know it's not old vassal states assholery?
Hence my example of Poland inviting Russia to join NATO. Of course there is history, but clearly at least Poland was willing to bury the hatchet and move on.
That was obviously ridiculous suggestion. As for hatchets Russia burried it once when Germany was united and NATO simply moved closer with all their hatchets. Russia is just not making the same mistake again. Russia had some suggestions too. For example they offered to have common missile defence against Iran, US/NATO refused, and we know why, because the whole thing was a lie, it was not against Iran it was/is against Russia.
