As things stand now, I wonder if we are setting up for another 6 year run of crap. W had 9/11 occur on his watch while ignoring Clarke and then trying to demonize him when he went public. Then the failure of Iraq wasn't enough in '04. By '06 things finally been bad enough for long enough that the people thought that this must not stand. That and the Congressional Aid gay sex scandal with Rep. Floyd.

With Biden, we had pandemic and stimulus related inflation, which was no where were it was in the 70s and people just lost their minds and panicked back to the GOP because they can handle shit*. Well that and Trump went hard on snagging the bigoted and misogynist minority vote.
