Why won't the Democratic Party Impeach President Trump?

Pelosi seems to be heading towards impeachment, but I read this morning that she has said she wants some Republican support and I sure don't see that happening. It's the Republicans who lack the balls to stand up to Trump.
There appears to be solid evidence Trump did make with some Quid Quo Pro to get Ukraine to investigate Biden. This is so egregious, seems like a case where impeachment isn't necessary, because resigning is the only option for Trump.

"Only option"? No way. He has the option of trying to take over the government entirely, turn it into a one-party dictatorship and cancel the 2020 elections, which many of his idiot followers would support.

A few more GOPers announcing their retirements might be a good indication of just that.

Trump announced that he will release the transcript of the call to Ukraine, but the Dems need to also see the whistle blower statement. Nothing has been said about that.

This just in: Pelosi is expected to announce a formal impeachment hearing later today.

Trump just responded with some bullshit tweet about how the Dems are continuing with the witch hunt, instead of doing their job, blah blah blah

The Dems are still very concerned that their inquiry will be stymied by the Republicans, by refusing to give the information being requested, etc.

Senator Chuck Schumer has stated that the whistle blower's original complaint must be released. Not a redacted transcript, or a report from the DNI, but the original, unredacted. The law is clear. Any whistler blowers reports must be released to the proper Senate committees. MUST be, not optional, not if they feel like, not if the president agrees..
