Does an arrest where the charges are dismissed really haunt one? When applying for jobs, you often have to check the box for convictions, but not arrests.

I cannot help but think that the only reason these unwarranted charges were dropped was because the police killed an innocent civilian.

A conviction would be unlikely, they probably would have dropped them anyway.

First, you have no idea. Second, that is hardly the point. Going to trial is traumatic enough. And, the charge becomes a stain on your life forever.
