The employer featured in the video makes/manages the kiosk in my workplace's cafeteria.
When (not if) this becomes common and when (not if) most employers make it mandatory,
the American right will have to choose between its bible thumping-"mark of the beast", and its absolute fealty
to corporate america, and I know which side they will choose. So even if the bible is literally true,
will conservative christians be the first ones to line up for the mark of the beast? Cuz after all, Corporate
America can do no wrong, its only government that can be evil and tyrranical. Rush Limbaugh said it, they believe
it, that settles it.

I don't understand. What is the purpose of chipping the employees?

All the more reason to support unions, worker rights, and social safety nets.

Also, RT America is not so much an information source as a Russian propaganda arm implemented for the purpose of fear mongering.

To track them and make sure they're not wasting seconds of company time.

Untrue. The only fear mongering is your post.

Calling out fear mongering is fear mongering. That's the ticket! How convenient.

That's a corporate news establishment smear campaign to discredit RT for hosting mostly progressive anti-establishment reporting from progressives such as Abby Martin, Lee Camp, and Chris Hedges. You can look at their TV lineup.

Considering that every year, some company has a whoopsie with a huge block of personal data, the case could probably be made against making this mandatory.

I mean, if I'm willing to type in my password each time, rather than suffer the convenience of waving my hand and getting access, then I should have a right to be a workplace hipster. But at least when someone hacks or just accidentally publishes the employee data for GD for 2031, my passwords will still be secure.

If the Bible is 'literally true' the mark of the beast is a number written ON the hand or forehead, not a microchip implanted under the skin.

But then, the Faithful know what the Faithful know, and what they know the Bible says is far more important than what the Bible actually says...

Yes.

Some conservative christians are very concerned that the 'anti-christ' is coming, but in reality they just need to look in a mirror to find it. They seem to ignore much of what Jesus was supposed to have taught, and actively oppose some of it as being liberal/socialist/communist attacks on their freedom. Pro-war, pro-torture, pro-death penalty, anti-tax, anti-welfare, pro-billionaires. They are already sold on the idea of voter ID being necessary, and likely a national ID card. A chip to prove they are 'true Americans' would probably not be a hard sell for them.

They're going to need at least three chips if they want to get the Full Monty on me.
