Alex Jones has rights but Colin Kapernick doesn't?
... which websites to delete ...

No. Alex Jones is a dangerous asshole but Kap is not. They both certainly have rights.

What I seem to be hearing from conservatives is that Alex Jones's first amendment rights are somehow being violated but the same did not apply to Colin Kapernick from the same people.

They'll be sending Jones tons of money. Then he'll fade like Palin. People will remember more about his personal failures, like they do with Palin than anything of conservative merit.
But for certain, he'll be cashing in on his persecution. Probably has a book deal in the making. I work with assholes who will pay for signed copies.
Kapernick was protesting against the US Military and wanted them to all die. Alex Jones is just a satirist...Alex Jones has rights but Colin Kapernick doesn't?

Was there a meeting or backchannel communication for all of these companies to do this on the same day? (Think GameJournoPros and "Gamers are dead")
Or just Youtube took the lead and these other companies thought this fucker was a crazy liability and now they could cut him loose like they wanted to for a long while.
YouTube didn't take the lead. Spotify, Apple and even Facebook acted before YouTube.
Sandy Hook was 4 years ago... they all dragged their feet on this. Was there a meeting or backchannel communication for all of these companies to do this on the same day? (Think GameJournoPros and "Gamers are dead")

Erm, Spotify dragged their feet on this one.
All of the above... go back to newsletters.Who wants private businesses to do some or all of the following?
* Cloudflare to not do business with Infowar's (Alex Jones')
* Their hosting service dump them
* Paypal and Visa/Amex/Mastercard/Discover to not be a passthrough for Jones
* Whoever owns or registered his domains (if not Jones) revoke them

YouTube can't but parent company Alphabet probably has the resources required too...Too bad YouTube couldn't just delete Alex Jones.
...nevermind. I don't want to get too caught up in a fantastical irony of Alex Jones' death being part of an actual conspiracy.

Jesus. Do you realize the damage that would cause in the long term?
Geez, I'm certainly no fan of Alex Jones, but why stop with him? What about religious websites, creationist websites, psychics, BigFoot websites, anit-vaxxers, holocaust deniers, chemtrails, alternative medicine crap, etc, etc. Just kinda wondering how we're going to pick and choose which websites to delete that propagate harmful bullshit.
If I ran a publishing platform, I'd blacklist all of those. These services ought to take some responsibility for the content that they allow to be published on their platform, just as book publishers must do.
On the other hand, if I ran a web indexing/search service, I wouldn't blacklist anything I wasn't legally required to. However, any algorithm that considers Alex Jones relevant to news, current affairs, or any other search for factual information, is a broken algorithm.

Before you stupidly, as so many insouciant Americans will do, jump on the anti-Alex Jones bandwaggon, remember and think about the German Lutheran pastor Martin Niemoller’s observation of his time under the Nazis:
“First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a socialist.
Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a trade unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.”
This time they are starting with Alex Jones.
Are Americans so stupid that they do not see what is unfolding in front of their eyes?
Yes.

Because I was not a socialist....
