From testimony today I still can't tell if Trump is just crazy or crazy kike a fox.
 
That is the real issue, he had support in the WH and in congress for a coup. Republicans are in denial and not speaking out.

Nope. Not even remotely. And if I wanted to say something insulting with regards to Trump I'd say something like "Grown Up Joffrey" or "Incest Porn Star Wannabee". Trump being given sycophantic praise and being treated with respect he never ever earned is the sole problem. Me calling him a cunt doesn't change the landscape one single bit.

Oh for sure he is comparmentalizing. But he is totally aware that he's doing that, and in fact reveling in the fact that nobody can force him to stop. He can go on falsely claiming a stolen election for as long as he's not arrested for doing that (which he knows he won't be), and if he can corrupt enough politicians and voters in the next 28 months, he can again ascend to the throne, pardon everyone kissing The Ring and live happily ever after, sucking Putin's dick to his heart's content.

I’ve been right about Trump’s actions, predicted he’d never concede defeat regardless of margin, wouldn’t allow a peaceful transfer of power and a lot more at which our RW friends scoffed and mocked. Accurate enough to convince myself that my read is basically correct: Trump knows what he’s doing including the benefits of having a lot of people think he is crazy.

Well, my point is that the easiest explanation is that it's a little of both: insane and evil.

It's a certain kind of perfect storm.

I don't think it's possible to get that close to sticking the landing on "antichrist" and actually be aware.

The fuck cleared out a church, to do a photoshoot with an upside down Bible stolen from those helping people previously.

It takes a shocking lack of awareness, is what I'm saying.. a stunning blindness that can only exist in the presence of a controlling agency to that blindness.

I'm not a "believer" but it doesn't take belief to understand when someone is being fucking evil, and to the point where something is seriously broken in them.

Really? The guy who was arrested for threats against Kavanaugh called police to tell them that he wanted to Jill himself and to kill Kavanaugh. He’s clearly mentally I’ll but not so far gone as to not realize what he was doing was wrong—he called the police. I hope he gets the help he needs.

The capitol krew, on the other hand, are disaffected, dissatisfied and easily duped idiots who belong to a cult and were willing to assassinate the VP and possibly several members of Congress to ingratiate themselves to their dear leader, who regarded them as less than dirt beneath their feet. Certainly a degree of mental illness is surely involved but they did try to overturn an election and the nation.

Even if I liked or respected Kavanaugh, there’s a huge difference in intent and scale and scope.

Yeah, I’m not sure if narcissism and psychopathy are the same thing as needs treatment in a mental health facility. In this case, I think it’s more needs confinement in an institution for the criminally insane. What Trump has/is is not curable or fixable. He’s had a taste of power and now he’s too dangerous to be allowed around other people.
