Roe v Wade is on deck

When you had skin in the game, you were enthusiastically looking for an abortion fir the girl.

Nothing you presented is evidence of your serious accusation of lying. What exactly did Toni allegedly lie about? Remember that lying requires someone to know they are misrepresenting the truth.
I just quoted one of @Toni's many lies about me.
By your own words, your and your girlfriend were going to obtain an abortion. So how is Toni’s post a lie?
TomC said:
There's many more, this is just one. I said differently. She ignores what I actually did say, mischaracterizes me, lies about my opinions, and the rest of IIDB piles on. Like you.
Ir seems to me that the problem is the actual words in your (the words posters base their replies on) do not convey what you mean.
Or how he wants us to perceive his words or actions.

Personally, I’m not at all pleased by being called names and deliberately being mischaracterized by Tom C but I haven’t resorted to calling him names .

Yesterday I asked her (because I never honestly thought to before) what her thoughts are on abortion. Her answer was predictable to me (being that I was raised by her) she said (paraphrasing) that a woman has full control over her body

Good answer if it ended there.

It's possible her friend may have not given TomC a reason to believe she was a responsible person (his sister's friend that is). Why you'd choose to jump to the conclusion that she was (without having met her) is odd.
I think that particular detail was odd. It seems to me that Tom could have said he wanted someone with her who loved her and was family instead of her friends were too stupid teenage girls.

But he didn’t say he went because he wanted to offer his sister support. He told us he did t want one of her stupid teenage girlfriends to go with her. The characterization of her friends as stupid was unnecessary.

You did NOT seek out an abortion for your girlfriend?
You're being normal here.

It must be the guy, women haven't any agency. You're such a gender bigot.

Don't you understand the word "we"? Judy and I decided this. Together. It was painful.

I'm sorry if I mischaracterized you as seeking an abortion if you did not do so.

Once again, you're a gender bigot with internet access. It wasn't just me, the guy, it was us! We both decided this. We were both seeking an abortion.

Why is it so hard for you, and people like you, to recognize that female humans have agency and priorities and aren't just "weak willed vessels"?
Tom
‘You’ can be singular or plural.
No, no, Toni... let him have his semantics war.
I find it interesting that you seem to believe that I don’t think women have agency ( although the Supreme Court has ruled otherwise) and you do, who felt the need to step in and drive his sister to get an abortion because, as you wrote:
I But I knew she would go, regardless of my opinion. I didn't want her to go with one of her ditzy teenage girl friends, but I knew she would if I didn't take her. So I did. I wanted her to have someone with her who had more brains than God gave a goose
So you didn’t trust your sister to responsibly obtain an abortion that she wanted if she went with one of her teenage girlfriends who had less brains than god gave a goose so you, heroic brother, had to step in—although you disapproved.
I don't know, and don't get me wrong, I have lots of geese for friends, but I wouldn't want to be driven by a goose anywhere.

I understand. I also understand that a lot is left unsaid when people (like myself) don't take the time to explain everything in detail but rather keep statements as simple and as direct as possible when replying to a misunderstanding.

It's so far back in the thread, I don't even care anymore.

I said "We were looking for an abortion".

Toni changed that to "You were enthusiastically looking for an abortion for your girlfriend.", or something similar.

I don't even care what lies she tells anymore. I just expect them. I barely read them.

I understand her very well.
Tom

We both agree it didn't. Mind sharing your opinion on her statement? It's why I shared it.

I thought I just gave my opinion?

Again: YOU can be singular or plural in general and in this particular context.

It IS pretty obvious that you barely read what I write.

It seems to me that Tom could have said he wanted someone with her who loved her and was family instead of her friends were too stupid teenage girls.
Honestly, I thought you were smart enough to figure out that that's exactly why I did it.

But, no, you are demonstrably too stupid to understand that! You just said so.

Tom

Oh, I suppose that since I'm male it's important that I am grammatically correct.

You can lie and mischaracterize all you want because you aren't male.

Actually, I would have assumed you did it because you loved your sister and wanted her to have family who loved her with her.

You’re the one who wrote that you did it because you knew you could t change her mind and her teenage girlfriends fmdudnt have the sense God gave a goose.

Sorry for believing what you wrote.

But it’s confusing. Here you’re angry because I did not I get you did it out of love but elsewhere you accuse me of lying when I write your words and speak to an implication of those words.

And then you call me names.

Well it is certain that you are not going to recognize that you attached a meaning to what I wrote that might not have been the meaning I intended.

I’m not complaining about your grammar, which was fine. I’m pointing out that you refuse to recognize that what I wrote could be interpreted as you singular or you plural.

If I misinterpret something, you could correct me instead of claiming that I’m lying, yadayadayada insult insult insult.

Both of those are true.

Sorry if the ability to understand that other people have complex and nuanced opinions and behavior is beyond your feminist abilities.

I did it. I didn't want to, but I love my sister. Fuck you if you are so wrapped up in your ideology that you can't understand that.
Tom

I thought I just gave my opinion?

Fair enough. Would have liked a little more elaboration but that's cool.

Well as you described the answer, she seemed to say autonomy ended at sex. I don't agree that it does. Likewise, I don't agree that "if she gets pregnant she should accept the outcome of that choice" if it means that the only way to deal with a pregnancy is to give birth. In my view, abortion is a responsible way to deal with it.

You didn’t write both of those things. You wrote the one that was insulting to your sister’s friends ( and perhaps, by extension, your sister who, I presume was also a teenage girl).

You seem to want me to take you at your word, but at the same time to assume that what you really mean is whatever interpretation you find most flattering

You refuse to afford me the very basic curtesy of assuming that I am simply mistaken and then clarifying what you meant, and instead impute terrible motives to me. Peppered with insults.
