The season has started... and ended for Dallas already. Powerhouse Buffalo look like the team this year. Kansas City are without Tyrek Hill who was thrown to / and caught every pass on every play for both teams in the New England / Miami game. Tom Brady won his opener, indicating that this third year starter for Tampa might be for real.

5% of the screens used to watch the Broncos play the Seahawks were thrown out the window as football fans disagreed with the game calling by the Broncos. Also, fans apparently boo'd Russell Wilson... their former Super Bowl winning QB.

Pittsburgh and Cincinnati just could decide who should lose, but came to an agreement late. Indianapolis and Houston decided to just share the spoils with a draw.

New England looked great (on some plays) and definitely appear to be in the position to contend for a top four finish in the AFC East.

Green Bay lost to someone. New Orleans beat someone. The Jets and Giants played, but who cares what happened.

Cleveland Browns hold on to defeat Carolina Panthers in a game that really didn't answer any questions about the Browns or Mayfield.

Higginz Perfecta Picks for Week 2:
  • NE QB Jones will get sacked a bunch against Pittsburgh
  • Will Power will win the IndyCar title
  • Cleveland Browns will be first team in NFL history to sack opposing QB but give up TD on same play
  • Safety-o-Rama! League will set a record with 3 safeties this weekend.
See you next week.

Russel Wilson got booed last night. He showed up in a flashy tuxedo with bow iie looking like a TV game show host.

Until the post game Q&A I did mot realize how full of himself he is. He went on and on about howhe plays for god and nobody else, and god sent him to Denver,

Well, God can bloody well take his sorry ass back!

My guess is for Pete Carrol it is good riddance with Wilson.

From the preseason games I did not think much of Gino Smith. Looks like I was wrong., but it is only 1 game. Smith sounds like more of a team player than Wilson.

Denver lost because of the 2 goal line fumbles. Wilson will have a better season than Smith.

It will be a long hangover for the Rams, don't see the O line getting competitive enough soon. They also have a harrowing schedule that could get you 8--8 even with a good team. But as we've seen of late, it's about how you're playing at the end of the season.

Maybe so, but t was a good game to watch. In the vdieo of his walking into the
stadium he had an arrogant strut wearing a silly looking tuxedo. I think he was looking forward to showing the Seahawks really needed him.

Pete Carrol seems to be back on his game.

No one knows the details outside the Seahawks but apparently he really wnated out of Seattle. Part of it may be that for a while he was not getting proteciona nd took a lot of hits.

In the post game Q&A Wilson bit his tongue on the question of not being given the ball on 4th and 5.

It is a new young motivated team and the fans are excited. That is all that matters right now. Seattle needs some relief after the last several years.

Rex Ryan thinks Patriots' woes are Belichick's fault.

I find this shocking! This was apparently because Rex Ryan can't get hired as a head coach and ESPN is actually paying him for his thoughts as an analyst. I'm really dumbfounded. Maybe he'll be the Mike Milbury of the NFL. But otherwise, who cares what Rex Ryan thinks.

Rex is late to the party. A lot of people are wondering what BB is doing with the coordinator positions, and with offensive line coaching. His weakness at drafting, especially WRs, is also being exposed again.

Certainly Belichick is not as successful as he has been, though his drafting talent was questionable for a long while. But that isn't relevant. A broken watch is right a couple times a day. So the real question is why is Rex Ryan being paid to offer his opinions?

People have been paying Rex to offer his opinions for quite a while, so It's likely that viewers/listeners find him entertaining and/or insightful. He was a successful DC, and coached the Jets to more playoff wins than anyone else in their history. His 2006 Ravens defense would have steamrolled everyone in the playoffs if Steve McNair hadn't allegedly played the Colts game with a massive hangover.

Seattle is my team. Although starting to love the Chargers! But I'm a hawk. Last Monday's win was unexpected and glorious. However, I see big problems. And I think that we'll be rebuilding. Geno had a great game. He played way above his talent level. But how long will that last? He has very serious deficiencies: doesn't throw down field well, doesn't stretch the field, and doesn't feel the pocket well.

Patriots take care of Steelers in Pittsburgh. Jones played like a second year talent with talent. Pats offensive line showed up.

This is your week two NFL review in 32 seconds.

Review of Week Two Predictions:
  • NE QB Jones will get protection from O-line not be sacked at all by Pittsburgh (CORRECT)
  • Will Power will win the IndyCar title (CORRECT)
  • Cleveland Browns will be first team in NFL history to sack opposing QB but give up TD on same play (NOT CERTAIN. COULD BE CORRECT.)
  • Safety-o-Rama! League will set a record with 3 safeties this weekend. (THIS WAS A TYPO)

The Ravens, Browns, Cowboys, and Rams all had big leads and presumably won their games by a lot!
The Buffalo Bills steamrollered the Titans on Monday night proving they are up for the role of disappointing 1st game in playoffs loser.
The Jaguars blanked Indianapolis, making people wonder, who is the QB in Indianapolis now that Peyton Manning isn't there.
The New England Patriots showed that providing pass protection can help lead to completions. Patriots QB Jones is in the running for Walter Peyton humanitarian award after hand wrapping two interception gifts to the Steelers.
Seattle was incapable of taking advantage of shitty coaching by the opposing team and lost.

The shocker of the weekend was easily how the Lions managed to not lose a game after they had a 22-0 lead at halftime. According to the Higgins Percentage Meter, the percentage chance of the Lions winning a game with a 22-0 lead was 0.001%.

In other news, Tyrek Hill leads the NFL is receptions... with like.... all of them.

Week three predictions:
  • The Queen of England will not gain a single yard
  • Both the Cleveland Browns and Pittsburgh Steelers will manage to disappoint their fans.
  • Tyrek Hill will be first wide receiver to catch four receptions during halftime.
  • No one cares about Monday Night Football this week.

A final score of 11-10 happened for only the second time yesterday. In other strange events, the Dolphins punter kicked the ball into a blocker’s ass, causing a safety. The Bills gained well over double the yardage and held the ball for 2/3 of the game, and still lost to the ass-kicker’s team. Tom Brady lost because he couldn’t get his players lined up in time. The 49ers QB stepped out of the back of the end zone for a safety, which saved 4 points because he threw a pick-6 before the officials whistled the play dead. The Chiefs’ replacement kicker couldn’t. The Jaguars could, and did, blowing out the Chargers. And Lamar Jackson, who leads the NFL in TD passes and QB rating, and is the 4th leading rusher, is “somehow getting both better and more underrated at the same time”.

Yes, the Broncos became only the second team in NFL history to win a game 11-10. Last one (Steelers) went on to win the Super Bowl.

A metric shit-ton of improvement will be needed for that to happen again!
Both teams looked pretty shabby.

Let's check those Week 3 predictions:
  • The Queen of England will not gain a single yard (CORRECT)
  • Both the Cleveland Browns and Pittsburgh Steelers will manage to disappoint their fans. (CORRECT... Browns fans are quite irrational)
  • Tyrek Hill will be first wide receiver to catch four receptions during halftime. (CORRECT. Tyrek Hill gained over 70 yards during halftime)
  • No one cares about Monday Night Football this week. (PRESUMABLY CORRECT)

The controversial signing of Deshaun Watson in Cleveland has been paying huge dividends as the Browns continue their winning ways and are 2-1. The Colts did what no one thought likely... go 1-1-1. That is one of every possible outcome in the season before game 4 even happened! The only thing weirder would be a game finishing with the score 11-10, but that'd be too crazy. Head Coach McDaniel oversees huge comeback by Raiders in the second half that lifts game to beat the over/under. The Dolphins create a new football term "Butt Punt". Eagles fail to score a single point in three quarters while the Commanders scored 3 times as many points on offense as they did defense, but the Eagles win anyway because the refs are in the pockets of the Eagles. Mac Jones legally has his named changed to Brett Favre II. Packers survive against Tampa Bay after being down by a presumably unsurmountable deficit of 3-0.

Week Four Predictions:
  • Dolphins lose after being poisoned by '72 Dolphins squad who decided to "nip this one early".
  • Colts inexplicably go 1-1-1-1.
  • Rams and 49'ers set record for more turnovers than TDs
  • Jets blow late 4th qtr lead to Steelers. The game tied, the Jets manage to both block the extra point, but get tackled in the end zone for a 1-pt safety at the end of regulation and lose. Internet crashes when everyone rushes online to look up "1-pt safety".

I forgot: after being sacked on his final play, Mac Jones made a strong audition for the role of “one-legged man in a butt-kicking contest “.

The poor defenseless NFL, powerless to step in. Completely at the whim of the teams. The whole system is messed up.

NFL suspends Watson 11 games... nothing against Houston who facilitated what got him suspended for over half a season.
Miami tosses a guy who questionably shouldn't have played on the field because he is a QB, where was the NFL to second guess it, NFLPA even?

The NFL is rotting.
