New "don't say gay" bill in Florida

 
 
 
The law is written too vaguely to make any sense out of it.
 
Classroom instruction by school personnel or third parties on sexual orientation or gender identity may not occur in kindergarten through grade 3 or in a manner that is not age-appropriate or developmentally appropriate for students in accordance with state standards.

Who in the world thought this language made any sense. If the law is only about kindergarten then the language "gender identity may not occur in kindergarten through grade 3" is sufficient to establish prohibition for kindergarten students. It's the underlined parts that are not only vague but don't have a cap on the grade level. Does this mean in Florida public universities a parent &/or student has the standing to claim that a discussion of sexual orientation or gender identity isn't developmentally appropriate?

I am not impressed. He stole some rather insignificant amount of Covid money.
Half of the politicians can be implicated in far worse crimes (insider trading to name one).
Pretty much all US politicians are corrupt scam.

Public schools will be scraping the bottom of the barrel. Private schools, the kind that don't have to educate anyone in particular, won't.

The private schooling market is even worse, from a labor perspective.

According to the article, the principal was expected to notify parents of 6th graders that they would be seeing a picture of Michaelango's David, and she neglected to do so.

Sorry folks, if that was part of the intent of the law, then that law is even fucking dumber than I thought.

I wonder if any of the defenders of that bill are ashamed of their defense.
 
Maybe they think parents need to inspect the statue of David before lessons to ensure it won't turn kids gay.

I think the law is working as intended. Yes, it's vile.
