POTUS is a figurehead which is powerless to do anything meaningful.
The real power is with big donors which bought all that scam in Congress, yes, both parties are utter scam, 100% of them.
I suggest strict term limits and complete ban on big money in politics especially from MIC.
In fact I would ban any money from MIC anywhere, even if they want to fund opera. Employments of retired generals, former politicians should be under strict regulations. In other words - no board of directors of government contractors for former generals/politicians and their family members.
politics should not be lifelong occupation, especially for such a large number of people as now.
Media Companies ownership should be regulated.

I think it's well known that I am russian in Russia. Don't have to choose but if I had to, I would probably stay home.

Who is "you"? I didn't have anything in the 60s, and America is more "you" than it is "me" - I have spent less than three days in total in that country, even if you include transiting their airspace above FL300 on an aircraft owned, operated, and registered outside the US.

I spent the entire portion of the Vietnam War era during which I was alive as a resident and citizen of a non-combatant nation.
