What I was talking about was Anerican reporters being free to roam Russia , question people, and report without fear of arrest for espionage.

There does not appear to be diversity in media in Russia free from government interfere.

If your only defence against a charge of bank robbery was to say "well loads of other people have robbed banks too", then you should expect to spend a long time in jail.

If Putin's justification for his criminal invasion of Ukraine is that the US once invaded Russia, then he deserves to be in jail too.
