In six months of hard fighting as part of their long-planned southern counteroffensive, Ukrainian brigades have lost at least a dozen of the 71 German-designed Leopard 2 tanks Ukraine so far has received from its foreign allies.

But now it’s looking likelier Ukraine will more than make good its Leopard 2 losses in 2024. It actually stands a decent chance of significantly growing the fleet. All thanks to Swiss meticulousness, and some patient diplomacy by German officials in Switzerland.

Voting is a bit like taking an exam. Not every answer is a good answer or even the right answer. Unfortunately, when it comes to voting for President in the U.S. if enough people choose the wrong answer that becomes the right answer, even if more people chose the actual right answer. That's why Hillary lost, and not because she was the wrong answer.

Centre-right's Stubb wins close-fought Finnish presidential election
In an interview with Reuters last month, Stubb said there would be no Russian pillar in Finland's foreign policy for now:
"Politically, there will be no relations with the president of Russia or with the Russian political leadership until they stop the war in Ukraine."
Stubb is in favour of deep NATO cooperation, such as allowing the transport of nuclear weapons across Finnish soil and placing some NATO troops permanently in Finland. He does not support storing nuclear weapons in Finland, however.

The founders did not want the president to be elected by popular vote. Trump the obvious reason.

I never understood what her platform was. She looked intimidated by Trump in debates. The incident when Trump was walking around behind her.

Bernie Sanders did not help.

The JASSM may be carried by a wide range of aircraft including the F-16
The Netherlands scrapped plans to sell six F-16 fighter jets to a U.S. company and will prepare the planes for delivery to Ukraine instead, according to the Dutch Defence Ministry. The agreement increases the number of Dutch aircraft that will be handed over to the embattled country to 24, it said.
Hopefully these JASSM-ERs with a 925km range will be tucked up under the F-16s going to Ukraine. All NATO should by now see the futility of Ukraine slogging out a ground war with an enemy that has no regard for its own citizenry. Russia's means of production must be targeted even if not officially sanctioned by the US.
