Europe's demise

I was not aware that Crazy Horse ever visited, or even expressed an opinion about, Australia.
Holy Shit!! It was an Aussie posting!! Ya got me.
In my defense, I took the Donald J. Trump Speed-Reading Course from Trump U. (Pay someone to read shit for you, then they summarize it in 10 words; if that doesn't work, read only the first sentence and the last 5 words; if that doesn't work, drop the book in the toilet and declare that it is now unreadable.)

Trump signs executive order making official U.S. language remedial English. 😭

I have to laugh in order not to cry. This is not even satire.
It’s pretty ironic given the signer has difficulty speaking in complete English sentences.

Can you think of anything multicultural besides food and music that has had a positive influence on our societies?

I wonder how mixing people from different parts of the world had changed how we see things such as:
  • Our attitudes towards work and leisure
  • How we treat our family and friends
  • Religiosity
  • The role of government in people's lives
  • Tolerance of people who are different
  • Intellectualism
  • Social class
It's easy to point to something like Vietnamese food and say "that shit's amazing, and we wouldn't have that without Vietnamese immigrants".
But beyond a lack of good food, I wonder what trajectory my country would have taken if we had persisted with a whites-only - and therefore cultural homogeneous - immigration policy.
How about all the businesses started by immigrants, either first or second generation? Many of the world's most valuable companies were founded by immigrants in the US, raising wages and creating a lot of wealth.
Doesn't tell us anything because the people who actually have the skills, ability, and intelligence to immigrate will also be in the top tier of talent who can start business and create a lot of wealth.
Then worry about the flood of immigrants?

Right. That is the sad point. The Orange Goblin is a toddler who struggles with Mama and Papa and can’t wipe his own ass.

Large parts of India and China, the two most populous nations in the world, are likely to be rendered uninhabitable by climate change.
Large parts of China are currently uninhabitable, for a given value of 'uninhabitable'.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gobi_Desert

India is unlikely to become uninhabitable, but routine failure of the monsoon rains could easily slash the agricultural capacity of the sub-continent, making it unviable to support a largely agrarian economy of over a billion people.

Of course, a large part of North America is uninhabitable too; People either don't live there at all, or live by the gift of extensive infrastructure and efficient transport of goods and people, while using communications systems to link their communities to more habitable regions. Las Vegas has no redeeming features in terms of habitability of climate. It exists only because people choose to dump huge sums of money there, and with enough money, humans can live almost anywhere.

The sad truth of Climate Change is that the wealthy can insulate themselves from it for a long time. And the wealthy are the only ones who can do something about it. Which they won't, until it's gotten so bad that they can no longer hide behind their wealth - at which point it will be far too late.

Same with Phoenix. I don’t think all of India will become uninhabitable, but if you look at the climate-science projected maps of that part of the world, climate change is REALLY going to hit hard in large swaths of India and China and southeast Asia in general.

There are projections for many of those areas of the world of repeated occurrences of web bulb 35 weather, which to my understanding kills all mammals within six hours if it does not abate.

For sure. The big problem will be the disruption of longstanding energy flows - the monsoons in India and South East Asia, and the thermo-haline circulation in the North Atlantic being two of the biggest and most concerning.

Humans have come to rely on these dependable flows of heat and moisture, and if they are significantly disrupted, the effects on hunankind will be enormous.

Unless they have airconditioning.

Right. Earlier I mentioned the anticipated disruption and possible collapse of AMOC, which some scientific models predict could happen as early as late in the next decade. Potentially that would bring a little ice age to Europe, with ice spreading to England’s channel coast. If that happens no one is going to be engaging in parochial temper tantrums over brown immigrants.

Of course the models are inexact but are refined and improved over time, which is science. Too bad the hicks and stump jumpers in the U.S. aren’t familiar with science or with reality in general, which is why we got Trump as president and are currently getting spreading measles outbreaks in Redneck Texas. ETA: and why we get periodic daily weather reports from Santa Monica, as if balmy days there somehow adjudicate long-term reality.

Very few people take the long view of history. Some 300 years ago — an eyeblink in human time, to say nothing of geological time — the United States did not even exist. Europe was very different in many ways. So, of course, was North America. No political or cultural arrangements are permanent. They are dust in the wind. I expect that in another 300 years, if civilization survives climate change, the civilized world will again be radically different from what it is now. I doubt the U.S. will still be around as a unified entity. Large parts of India and China, the two most populous nations in the world, are likely to be rendered uninhabitable by climate change. It’s just so parochial to worry about Muslim immigrants or any immigrants. When the climate change that Swizzle denies really kicks, you just watch how many climate immigrants there will. Their numbers will be legion, mostly from nations that people like climate-change denier Swizzle detests.
The Fossil Fuel industry, who could be at the forefront of making money off of climate change, have instead decided to dig in defending the usage of fossil fuels as long as they can make money off it. And buy all the scientists they can buy to come up with arguments to defend the continued use of those fossil fuels. Make no mistake, they could continue to make money off it whichever way we go, but they want the maximum short range profits they can get.

Tropical Cyclone Alfred 22U

Issued at 10:44 am AEST Sunday 2 March 2025.

IMG_2249.png

Historically, cyclones very rarely cross the coast south of about 25°.

Brisbane occasionally gets flooding rains from the remnants of cyclones, but the city has never seen a Category 2 cyclone, and a Category 1 storm in Brisbane would be a once in a lifetime event. This information may be out of date by this time next week.

That said, Coral Sea cyclones are notoriously unpredictable, so it might turn around and head out into the Pacific. Or head back northwards.

So in regard to London "our capital celebrates its diversity", whilst in USA the capital is collapsing into being the centre of a theocratic dictatorial state.
When "diversity" in London increasingly looks like this:

article-1353787-0D0B7C96000005DC-329_634x286.jpg

Then who is it who is really in danger of theocracy?

Muslims are basically taking over London and other major European cities. Both through mass migration and hyperfecundity.
This is a map from 2011. As you can see, even then there were areas with >50% Muslim population. It is even more dire now.

Europe doesn't need Trump's "help".
I agree. Trump and his Ilk are the wrong answer. But they are a wrong answer to real problems. Anyway, US and Trump are whataboutism in this thread, so let's leave that for one of the myriad threads that are about that, ok?

Mainstream politicians in Europe have long feared being called "racist" and "islamophobic" and therefore they did nothing about the Islamization of Europe. Politicians like Angela Merkel even made things worse by opening the floodgates in 2015.
Through this failure of the mainstream parties and politicians is why parties like AfD gained popularity in the first place. AfD might not even be in the Bundestag if it was not for Merkel exacerbating the migration crisis with her ill-conceived Willkommenskultur.
It is USA that actually needs help, and this it will have to do for itself because it is beyond help from anyone else.
Two separate things can be true at the same time. Just because US is in trouble because of Trump does not mean that Europe is not in trouble because of Islamization.

The Roman Empire brought people from what is now the Middle East and North Africa, and they never left. The Angles, Saxons, and Jutes
all rolled up and added to the diversity.

But it never had a Pakistani Muslim mayor until now, when Muslims are taking over the city demographically. And the Pakistani mayor outlawed showing ads with bikini-clad women on the Tube. And don't give me the apologetics that it was about "body image", since he had nothing against a similar ad from the same company with a male model. Only women in bikinis were absolutely haram according to Khan.

Which image pushes a more unrealistic body image?

The "sexist" and "not sexist" labels should really be replaced with "haram" and "halal" given who the decider in London is these days.

No wonder Trump is in no hurry to help out Europe when it is in this state.

London’s West End was illuminated yesterday (February 27) as Ramadan Lights London returned for its third year, organised and sponsored by the Aziz Foundation in celebration of their 10th anniversary. This year’s edition was bigger, brighter, and more immersive than ever before. Hundreds gathered to watch the switch-on ceremony, including communities, celebrities, and dignitaries. Mayor of London Sir Sadiq Khan said: “It’s a privilege to switch on Ramadan Lights London in our capital for the third year in a row. This fantastic display in the heart of the West End has quickly become a very popular tradition and is a wonderful way to celebrate Ramadan. It’s also a clear symbol of how our capital celebrates our diversity, as we build a better London for everyone.” The evening began with a lantern parade led by local school children, followed by the switch-on of the new ‘Spread The Light’ installation in Leicester Square, inviting guests to take part in illuminating the city.

News

Quite an eye opener.
Warning: Adult sarcasm, may not be suitable for all ages.

I hear you man, right on.

Over here we got those pesky Jews, Chinese, Japanese, Native Americans. Right?

Every year in Chinatown not blocks away there is a Chinese parade.

What really really gets me going is this guy Musk who is from South Africa running around our government. He looks Asian, doesn't he? Those god damn immigrants are taking over our government, aint they?

What the hell is wrong with Trump, I thought he was a real American.

Don't get me started on Trump's wife. She is from Slovenia for god's sake, why couldn't Trump marry an American? And then it was chain migration, she brought her parents over here.

No wonder America is in decline....right?

Anyway, the bitter and whining OP from you know who is just the usual gaslighting. Europe needs immigrants because of its sharply falling birth rates.
Then Europe needs to increase its birth rates to replacement levels and not wholesale import populations hostile to the European way of life.
Italy especially is withering away. If, in a few hundred years — and if civilization survives the same climate change that the author of the OP denies — Europe is largely Muslim, I bet they will be just fine, along the lines of multicultural Muslim Spain.
This is typical leftist Islamophilia. Reality of places like Sweden shows the exact opposite.

I like these cartoons that illustrate the problem.

By the way, your obsession notwithstanding, it is a fact that Muslims do not have a monopoly of prudishness or on sexism, and it is highly unlikely that the Mayor would have made the decision unilaterally.

Plenty of racy images have been censored in advertising in London, the VAST majority by Christians.

And Muslims are NOT "taking over the city demographically", despite what your racist sources might be telling you. London remains, as it always was, a multicultural city in which no one demographic dominates. To expect that any specific religion or culture would never be represented by the office of Mayor is stupid and nonsensical.
