I will answer your question even though you didn’t answer mine.Let me ask you something else. Why is it so important for you and a few others to defend Minneapolis and the Islamists when the policy is so wrong on its face? You'd expect an atheist forum to be more critical of politicians giving special rights to religious institutions. But when it's Islamic institutions, you are suddenly all in favor. Why?So any exemption granted to anyone to any ordnance is de facto submission to something?
It is not wrong on the face of it. The Minneapolis noise ordinance has plenty of exemptions. In the grand scheme of things, this special treatment is small potatoes in relation to the special treatment that traditional religious institutions receive. If it makes Muslims feel more like the general community, it is a good tradeoff.
Why is it so important to you to criticize the exemption? Especially since you have evidence whatsoever that it is a problem for any affected neighbor.
