How should west respond to potential (likely) Russian invasion of Ukraine?

OK so Putin's asset in the White House is back to saying that Putin should be rewarded by Ukraine giving up territory for Russia to stop its war.

History shows that rewarding a bully is always a bad idea.

Why is Trump so obviously willing to give Putin exactly what he wants?

It's Trump's excuse to cut off Ukraine altogether.

Can't agree more with Patrick Henningsen here:

They haven't even met yet!

And?

I haven't heard what happened yet. We'll see. However, I assume that Putin got the better of Trump. And that Trump is taking "terms" to President Z that wouldn't result in a long term peace for Ukraine. And then I'd assume that Pres Z will reject. And then finally, Trump will understand that no peace is possible with Putin. I hope that I'm wrong...

Start fucking watch videos I post!
Video I posted have little to do with the meeting.
And the title have absolutely nothing to do with the meeting.

Start fucking watch videos I post!
Get bent.

Watching video is largely a waste of time; Even a truthful, accurate, and interesting video would be better as text, as information that takes thirty seconds to read takes more than thirty minutes to watch.

Watching videos that you post would be an even bigger waste of time, as the probability of any of 'truthful', 'accurate', or 'interesting' is close to zero, and the probability of all of these is lower still.

Nobody cares that you agree with some loser who makes propaganda videos.

Nobody is required to watch, or even to read, something you post; Certainly they need not agree with it, nor give it any credence.

You blew any respect you might have earned on this board years ago, and it's never coming back. You are an irrelevant clown who pops up on a monotonous basis to spew the latest Kremlin propaganda. You don't get to make such absurd demands.

Latynina until recently had been staunch opposition to Putin
Arestovich was an adviser to ..... Elensky :)

Now they both agree with Putin. Latynina admits being stupid about this conflict.
Explain that!

But you don't read any text I post either.

Agreed. Videos are less than informative. I never watch them. They are almost always junk and disinformation regardless of what "side" the are from. They are a waste and do not help to factually inform.

You are full of yourself, aren't you?

That would be a standard propaganda ploy used extensively by Soviet agencies since Stalin was in power, and which Putin grew up a master of.

There are many good explanations, none of which are important - because ultimately the truth is not a popularity contest, nor is it derived from individual opinions. If somebody was right, but is now wrong, then perhaps they were coerced, perhaps they were paid, or perhaps they're just gullible. But as they were never an authority, it's irrelevant.

Latynina's opinion meant nothing to me before, and means nothing now; No opinion held by anyone can change the immutable facts that Putin embarked on an unjust and unjustifed war of agression in contravention of agreements he himself made; That he foolishly believed his armed forces to be so powerful that he would be victorious within a few days, and well before the rest of the world could object, much less intervene; And that the Russian military were utterly humiliated by the Ukrainian defenders, who have held them to a static war of attrition for years.

Putin fucked up massively. And now has no face-saving option other than to hope for, and to attempt to engineer, a collapse of foreign support for Ukraine.

This kind of propaganda is a completely predictable response from a cornered and humilliated regime.

Oh, look; Not only did I easily explain that; I also read what you wrote, thereby demonstrating (yet again) that you were wrong about something.

With cause. What's your excuse?

What? what exactly are you implying here? Both Latynina and Arestovich have been working for mighty Putin since the beginning?
There are many good explanations, none of which are important
That's weird, coming from a guy who like to explain Trump behavior.
- because ultimately the truth is not a popularity contest,
How fucking convenient. Then what is the truth? Aren't you mioving goal posts here?
Here is fucking list for you.
Russian population supports Putin,
His former opposition after looking at themselves and Ukaraine, support Putin
Ukrainian opposition support Putin
Former enemies of Russia (Arestovich) support Putin

You are left with prostitutes like Lindsey Graham, 100 year old nazis (Hunka), and heavy drug user clowns
nor is it derived from individual opinions.
Very convenient. I will remember next time you post any link here.
Latynina is not random individual, he has subscribers.
If somebody was right, but is now wrong, then perhaps they were coerced,
She is not wrong now. She was wrong and now, after assimilating all the available information she became right.
perhaps they were paid, or perhaps they're just gullible. But as they were never an authority, it's irrelevant.
Look who is conspiracy theorist now. Except she all the receipts and documentation.
Latynina's opinion meant nothing to me before,
Again, very convenient.
and means nothing now;
Yes, you have very thick skull when it comes to inconvenient truth.
No opinion held by anyone can change the immutable facts that Putin embarked on an unjust and unjustifed war of agression in contravention of agreements he himself made;
Again, very thick skull. Here is not an opinion but a fact. There are 145 million people in Russia who deny this BS you are spitting. Ant the truth is, even your talking heads you listen to don't believe the shit you believe.
That he foolishly believed his armed forces to be so powerful that he would be victorious within a few days, and well before the rest of the world could object, much less intervene; And that the Russian military were utterly humiliated by the Ukrainian defenders, who have held them to a static war of attrition for years.

Putin fucked up massively. And now has no face-saving option other than to hope for, and to attempt to engineer, a collapse of foreign support for Ukraine.
Yes, North Vietnamese fucked up massively too, in your universe.
This kind of propaganda is a completely predictable response from a cornered and humilliated regime.
Stop talking nonsense, nobody is buying it.
Oh, look; Not only did I easily explain that; I also read what you wrote, thereby demonstrating (yet again) that you were wrong about something.
You did not explain anything, you merely denied reality.

And you also don't read articles you don't agree with.
And no, videos can be infinitely more informative than text. Also In video it is much harder to lie.
Apparently you’ve never seen Fox News….
Apparently your reading comprehension is lacking.

And I have seen Fox News, they are liars. I can tell that from watching their videos.
Same with CNN, BBC and MSNBC.

One of the funny moment in that interview where Latynina says that KGB was not lying after all.
This is where they were discussing CIA plans (from the 50s) about using ukrainian nazis in USSR.
Same with USSR "invasion" in Afghanistan. I remember how in the late 80s early 90s they revealed the reasons for doing that.
Turned out it was true too. Brzezinski confirmed that too later around 1999.
The fact is. US government lies about everything regarding its foreign affairs.

My reading comprehension is just fine. I just don’t think that FOX is talented enough to make anyone with a brain believe what they are saying. So I strongly disagree that videos are more informative.
