Republicans Seem To Have A Big Pedophile Problem

When has there ever been any Democratic institutional support for pedophilia??
How do you define "pedophilia"? In another thread, you wrote that a 28 year old grown-ass woman in a pair of jeans was "pedo bait" ...
The original ad - the one I was referring to in the post you are quoting - starred a 15 year old Brooke Shields stripping to her underwear on camera.

How do you define "pedophilia"?
Anyone your age (I have ascertained that you are at least over 30 and therefore at least middle aged) , finding teenagers still fuckable through semantic loopholes.

You're welcome. That's only my opinion, h3owever. Feel free to Gaetz your way out of this as much as you'd like. I'm not stopping you..

The abuse began in 1982 when the victim was 12 and Morris was a traveling evangelist staying in Hominy, Oklahoma, with her family, according to the statement by Oklahoma Attorney General Gentner Drummond. The abuse continued over the next four years, the statement said.

Like, I don't understand.

I posted an unambiguous definition that points to something clearly and unambiguously wrong as a definition of "pedophilia".

I don't think anyone has changed or attempted to change from using this definition except Derec.

And now we have a celebrated Texas Republican, once Governor of Texas and now Senator, saying we should stop going after pedophiles.

That means Ted Cruz is a pedophile.

I'm sorry, but that's what it means.

And he's not just a pedophile, he's a pedophile elected by a state to represent Republicans.

Republicans elected a pedophile to represent them, and Ted is on the books for several attempts to defend pedophiles through his political career; it's not like this wasn't known information.

This is what represents Texas Republicans: a fucking pedophile.

Tell me again how the Republicans aren't the party of pedophilia?

First of all, you wrote "also pedo bait". That means you think the ads with a 28 Sidney Sweeney are "pedo bait" themselves. Second, you never identified the other ad, which you call "original". Here's your full post from the WW3 thread:
American Eagle. And the tag line is not written by her, it's a reference to a much older ad campaign from the 70s which was also pedo bait.
I had to look up the Brooke Shields ad, and it's not the "original" or a "much older ad campaign" by American Eagle. It's an ad from 1980 by Calvin Klein. It was probably made to capitalize on her fame from the Blue Lagoon movie that came out the same year, where her character, as a child, gets stranded on a tropical island with a boy of similar age, and as they grow up they discover sex, and, if I recall correctly, have a baby before being rescued.

So the only similarities between the two ad campaigns is that they are both for jeans, they both feature attractive female models, and you think they are both "pedo bait".

"Ironic"? It's the most predictable thing imaginable. These people accuse gays of grooming specifically because they are all pedophile scumbags, not in spite of that.
They are all "pedophile scumbags"? Maybe by your definition, since you see 28 year old women as "pedo bait" ...

Note that you did not identify the ad you consider "original" in your post. I had to look up the Brooke Shields ad, and it's a separate jeans ad, from a different company (Calvin Klein) from 1980. It was probably made to capitalize on Shields' Blue Lagoon fame (I wonder if Christopher Atkins was offered a jeans ad?) as that movie came out that same year. Btw, it's a coming of age movie where she and another child get stranded on a tropical island and as they grow up they discover sex and, if I recall correctly, have a baby before getting rescued.
And the taglines are also not similar either. "You wanna know what comes between me and my Calvin's? Nothing", while risqué, does not really have anything to do with "Sidney Sweeney has great jeans" tagline by a different company 45 years later. How is the latter a reference to the former?

I think you connected the two ads, or even remember the 1980 ad, because you see "pedos" under every rock. See your post #27.

What words actually mean is not a "semantic loophole". I do not think it's appropriate for >30 to go after, say, 15 year olds, but it's not "pedophilia" either, as the latter refers specifically to an attraction to prepubescent children.
What happens when you misapply terms like this is that you get on a sort of "dysphemism treadmill", where the unsavory term gets applied to broader and broader categories. You are already on it, as you are not content to misapplying it to minors, but also to 18 and 19 year old adult teenagers. And some people (particularly those terminally online) will call attraction to those in their early 20s as "pedophilia". Or take Politesse, who evidently thinks a jeans ad with a 28 year old Sidney Sweeney is "pedo bait".
You're welcome. That's only my opinion, h3owever. Feel free to Gaetz your way out of this as much as you'd like. I'm not stopping you..
While I think it is wrong to pay a 17 year old for sex, it certainly is not "pedophilia", since a 17 year old is developmentally hardly different from an 18 year old, or even a 20 year old.
There is this unfortunate trend to claim that if the worst possible term is not misapplied to something or someone, that means that somebody must approve of it. If I do not call Gaetz a "pedophile", that must mean I approve of him, and hell, that must mean I secretly want to fuck 17 year old hookers myself.
That is also evident in misapplying terms like "Nazi", "fascist", and alternatively, "communist", to people to whom that does not really apply.

He likely misspoke or made a gaffe. In any case, what he said does not imply that he is a "pedophile" himself, whether you use actual definition of the word, or some other as used by Patooka (<20) or Politesse (<29).
