I voted today and there were election staffers outside the County Courthouse next to the drop box. Didn’t see any ICE agents. I guess they can’t be everywhere, and a town of four digit population doesn’t hit their radar even with significant numbers of off-white possible Mexicans or worse.

I voted by mail two weeks ago. I sat around with the blue book and discussed the ballot with hubby. Filled out the ballot and dropped it off at the drop box. Love Colorado.

I voted almost three weeks ago in Georgia as we have 3 full weeks of early voting. Mr. Sohy and I were the only ones voting at that time. Talk about easy. Two of my friends didn't even know it was a state wide election. One of them voted the next day and hopefully the other one voted by today. These small elections in Georgia always have a very low turn out.

They were fake bomb threats. I grew up in Essex County, one of NJs most densely populated counties in the state. Maybe the most densely populated. Essex and Passaic counties also have a high percentage of minority residents as well. Hmmm. Bergen is or at least was a fairly affluent with a high percentage of Jewish residents, not sure about the other ones, but it does seem as if some people were trying to scare certain groups of people. Hmmmm. Who could that be?

New Jersey was going to be harder... at least according to Emerson polling which showed a dead heat. Democrat won by 12ish points. Mamdani wins, but it isn't by a huge landslide. If Mamdani wants to remain a politician, he needs to visit Ocasio-Cortez and learn how to play ball. California is about to be gerrymandered like no state has been gerrymandered before (win for Democrats, loss for our democracy).

How bad of a night for Republicans, Jay Jones won the AG seat in VA. He dun fucked up and it was too late to step aside, so the Dems were stuck with him. And he still won by over 4 pts. The word "pathetic" comes to mind for the GOP performance tonight. It is why the GOP is trying to fix races for 2026.

First time in over 50 years that more than 2 million votes were cast in NYC. VA voting was 7% higher than in 2021.

VA also elected a Muslim as Lt. Governor; first time a Muslim has been elected in a statewide race anywhere in the country.
