Don't be a dick.
Hopefully she unseats her.

Hopefully she unseats her.
My prediction record is mediocre at best, but I don’t see any robust defense of that seat by the fascists. They have much more fertile ground to till by further gerrymandering Texas, Indiana etc.

Personally I’ll be more than happy to see the last of that slow-talking weasel, regardless; I’m sure she’s a delight for her family but I can’t stand her straight-faced bullshit.
“I’m sure he learned his lesson.”
Uh huh. He learned that spaghetti-spined pseudo-centrists like you, are SUPER easy to manipulate. Go home Susie.

As a Republican, her record is definitely mixed. She did help save ACA among other things. She helped push shitty anti-20th century SCOTUS nominers onto the court.. among other things.

The Senate is achievable with a big enough turnout, but it is a long shot.

Mills has a challenger from the Left, a Berniecrat, Israel-hating oyster farmer with a Totenkopf tattoo who made very radical and inflammatory statements in the past.
Democrats’ dilemma on Maine Senate candidate Graham Platner
CNN said:
If anyone thought recent revelations about Maine Senate candidate Graham Platner’s past would give Democrats instant clarity about their party’s path forward, they apparently have another thing coming.

Since the revelations about extreme statements Platner made online and his tattoo featuring Nazi imagery, indicators have pointed to a drawn-out and arduous primary process for the 2026 race.

First, a poll showed Platner with a huge early lead on Maine Gov. Janet Mills in the primary, 58%-24%, as of mid-October. The University of New Hampshire poll was conducted almost wholly before the tattoo story broke, but the numbers were remarkable. They suggested Platner had a real base to work with — one that could make him a force even if it’s diminished.
And second, we’ve seen a number of prominent figures dig in on their Platner support — or at least not ditch him. Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont unapologetically stood by him. And Sen. Chris Murphy of Connecticut told CNN’s Jake Tapper on Sunday he viewed Platner as “a human being who made mistakes, recognizes them, and is very open about it.”
[...]
If Democrats are to win the Senate in 2026, they probably need to win not just in Maine, but also win every swing state and flip a seat in a red state like Ohio.
And longtime Sen. Susan Collins of Maine has proved very difficult to beat. Democratic opponent Sara Gideon in 2020 raised tens of millions of dollars and led in most polls — only to lose by 9 points on Election Day. Collins won that race even though Trump lost the state by 9 points.
It would be tragic if Dems were to lose the Maine election because they nominate Platner. After all, this is the only 2026 state where the Senate seat is currently held by a Republican but that Kamala won in 2024.

Btw, more on Platner's extreme statements:
‘I got older and became a communist’: Deleted posts show Maine Senate hopeful’s raw views on politics, war and police
CNN said:
In one now-deleted Reddit comment from 2021, Platner responded to a thread about people becoming more conservative as they age by saying: “I got older and became a communist.” The comment was made on a subreddit called r/Antiwork, a far-left forum “for those who want to end work.”
[...]
In one deleted comment, in a thread about a Black army lieutenant who was held at gunpoint and pepper-sprayed by police during a traffic stop, one Reddit user wrote, “Bastards. Cops are bastards.” Platner replied, “All of them, in fact.”
Platner also frequently weighed in on police violence, arguing that misconduct was “a problem that extends deep into the profession as a whole” and rejecting claims of accidental shootings after incidents such as the killing of Minneapolis Black man Daunte Wright, writing, “F**k these cops.”
In another since-removed post from 2020, Platner responded to a thread titled “White people aren’t as racist or stupid as Trump thinks” by writing, “Living in white rural America, I’m afraid to tell you they actually are.”

With the housing market in flames, food prices climbing Everest, wages frozen in carbonite, attacks on state rights, the GOP platform self-destructing, taxes wearing Groucho glasses (tariffs), and energy costs punching everyone in the throat, I’m sure voters will put all that aside to focus on… "Israel-hating oyster farmer with a Totenkopf tattoo..” Totally priority number one.

Hey, as long as nobody's talking about Epstein...

I'm honestly shocked you didn't elbow poke me over my usage of the Star Wars version of carbonite. :ROFLMAO:

Actually, yeah, we're getting a little lax on the whole Trump Rapes Kids thing. Gotta remember to keep that fact where people will keep seeing it, until he sees justice.

Also, some images of Epstein's speed dial list got released, and there's an entry there blacked out that's just the right length and sort position to be "Donald".

With the housing market in flames,
Is it?

I agree that the GOP platform is very unpopular right now, although some of your points are overstated, like energy costs.
Gasoline prices, for example, are lower than they were during most of Biden's administration:

This is a thread specifically about the 2026 Midterms. The quality of candidates is very relevant here.
A big reason why 2022 Midterms went so poorly for the GOP was the quality of candidates, especially in the Senate - e.g. Herschel Walker in GA or Mehmet "Keyser" Öz(e) in PA.
Things are looking promising for Dems right now, but they are a party well known for snatching defeat out of jaws of victory.

Trump is not relevant to this thread (he won't be on the ballot in 2026), but just out of curiosity, what evidence is there of that?
Also, some images of Epstein's speed dial list got released, and there's an entry there blacked out that's just the right length and sort position to be "Donald".
So, guilt by (possible) association?

what evidence is there of that
The fact that you're deflecting from the massive piles of evidence is yet another piece of evidence that it is true.

Gasoline prices, for example, are lower than they were during most of Biden's administration:
A week ago the gas price was virtually the same as a year ago. And diesel is more expensive now than a year ago.

Who knows what it will be next week?

I'm sorry, no, "the GOP are led by and supporting a pedophile" is absolutely on topic for the 2026 midterms. It is the most important midterm issue.

Quit covering for your pedophile friend.

Vote out the people covering for their pedophile friend

Gasoline prices, for example, are lower than they were during most of Biden's administration:
Gas prices are so historically volatile I question the validity of using them as a metric of overall economic health. If prices are definitely better than they were under Biden you assuredly can give another example.

If it’s eggs though keep in mind the impact of the bird flu.

Trump is not relevant to this thread (he won't be on the ballot in 2026),
Oh ye of little faith.
I mean, he's going to be supporting and endorsing people, and ostensibly some of the people voting in the election will be supporting him.

Derec, regardless of what he says he supports, does sure seem to be doing a lot of the actions which, as performed, are supportive of the pedophile and those enabling them.

We should bring this up, so that nobody forgets that a vote for anyone who supports trump is a vote for a pedophile.
