If an AI can handle your issue a decent search of their website should also be able to handle your issue. Chatbots can make it more friendly, but at the expense of accuracy.Lately I've been getting vendor "support" from a team who are copy-pasting from a chatbot to reply to their support tickets. They're using abuilt-for-purposemarketed-for-purpose customer service chatbot platform, which they disclosed by accident by sending bot slop without reading it first.
Every response from the support team is a big shit sandwich.
This must be what it feels like to talk to DrZoidberg's HR department.![]()
I don't understand your problem with AI. AI customer support means you get support immediately. Rather than having to sit and wait forever and talk to some bored rep who'd rather be anywhere else. If the AI fails to figure it out, you'll go to second line support, where you get proper help.
I prefer AI support than human support. Typically, way more helpful.
Human's are also prone to misunderstanding. I don't think AI makes it worse.
