Well... it's Trump... again. #47, here we go.

Our evil dog shit-in-a-bag president says that it's treason to express the opinion that the US is not winning what war against Iran

Fuck you Donald. The US is not winning. Until the Strait is opened up, the US is losing you evil piece of shit.

President Donald Trump said he considers it “treasonous” for people to say that the United States is not “winning” the war with Iran, despite notifying Congress earlier that the hostilities have “terminated.”

I thought it wasn’t a war.

It was never a war, and the war is over, and America is winning the war.

Obviously.

I’m going to write something that a lot of people will find outrageous but here goes:

Voting for a third party candidate when one of the candidates is as horrible as Donald Trump is effectively voting for Donald Trump. It gives the same result as voting for him: DJT is POTUS although every sentient human being on the planet knows that was a disaster the first time.

Having a hissy fit because a black! woman! isn’t your favorite candidate and therefore voting third party is voting fir Donald J Trump.

People need to grow the fuck up and chose the best option from among those nominated by D or R. Doing otherwise guarantees the worst possible candidate is chosen.

Written by someone who proudly, arrogantly has voted 3rd party because she didn’t like the major party candidates. Several times. And who deeply deeply regrets it. The major party candidates did not learn their lesson by my little ego trip and they won’t learn anything from yours either.

Grow the fuck up and become involved in your party of choice at the local
Level and work as hard as you can to elect the least bad major party candidate for POTUS. Otherwise, the worst candidate will win.

Politics is about compromise and making hard choices, sometimes the least bad choice because all we have are bad choices.

Work for third party candidates if you must at the local level and do it for a long, long time. Eventually the third party might become viable on the national stage but I won’t live to see that. You might not either. I can cry with you about it all day long but that won’t change a damn thing.
You really should make that point to the Biden voters who didn't vote for Kamala. Apparently a lot of people who voted for Biden couldn't handle a South Asian Woman pretending to be Black. I think the few who vote third party aren't to blame, when Biden's own support failed to show up. Biden supporters who couldn't handle a non-white woman. Biden supporters being racist and sexist. Democrats.
I agree that voters of all political stripes hate the idea of voting for a woman, any woman. Your ‘pretending to be black’ attempted dig demonstrates the multiple layers of your ignorance.

I know people who wouldn’t vote for Harris because she had been a prosecutor. I know people who felt she wasn’t progressive enough. I know people who were dismayed at Biden stepping away—I was because history has demonstrated that it takes an old white man to make enough voters comfortable enough to vote against Trump. But I voted for Harris even though she was not my ideal candidate just as Biden had not been my ideal candidate.

One thing I’ve learned over the years to consider when choosing which candidates to support is who they surround themselves with, what sort of judgement they’ve shown and very essentially: who they are likely to appoint to their cabinet and other important positions of authority and influence. While I understand the appeal of the ‘outsider’ and the ‘fresh political face,’ I’m old enough to recognize that such people do not bring with them people who are competent, who have the knowledge base and the demonstrated belief in and understanding for and even reverence for our Constitution. This is not amateur hour. Amateur hour is both of Trump’s terns, deeply colored with extreme corruption and incompetence.

For a long while, I had assumed you are relatively young but I believe you are my age older. You certainly are old enough to recognize that while one vote rarely decides any election, failing to recognize the stakes of another Trump presidency and failing to do everything in your power as a voter to prevent that from happening by voting for the only viable candidate to prevent Trump from taking office again.

Your little temper tantrum is despicable. Trump’s bloody corrupt war in Iran and on the US Constitution is partly on your hands.
Saying "voters of all political stripes" deflects from the fact that Harris underperfomed Biden in every single county in the country. If she had gotten Biden's voters, she'd have won. If she'd gotten 90% of Biden's voters, she'd have won. She underperfomed so badly that Trump actually won the popular vote. Because Biden's supporters didn't turn out for her.

You earlier posted that the voters didn't turn out because she's a non-white woman, although for reasons unknown you called her "black". When I pointed out it was the lack of support from Biden's voters, you then deflected to "she had been a prosecutor" or "wasn't progressive enough". Pick a lane.
It is true that those voters who didn't vote were irresponsible in not voting for Harris. However another factor in the voting result was the complicity of the mass media in failing to expose Trump. If they had done their supposed job (journalism), instead of their actual role of thinking Trump was a money maker for them (as they are profit making businesses), then that could have influenced many non-voters (or third party voters) to do the right thing.

Indeed. People want and need stability, but stability is boring and doesn't sell copy.

A loose cannon is dangerous, but viewed from a safe distance, it's also exciting.

Trump’s approval on economic issues, which were critical to his political comeback in 2024, has fallen since he launched the Iran war in late February.

Americans disapprove of his handling of the situation with Iran by 66 percent to 33 percent. His rating on the economy has declined by seven points, to 34 percent, as gas prices have spiked. His approval rating on inflation has fallen five points in that time to 27 percent and his lowest rating comes on perceptions of his handling of the general cost of living, with 23 percent approving vs. 76 percent disapproving.

I think the biggest problem is not the Democrats, Harris, the press. It was that more people voted for the guy who gathered a mob on January 6th, 2021 to try and steal an election as part of a conspiracy that included providing the Vice President a different statement than has been read by VPs in the past, that was to justify throwing the election to Congress due to the non-existing discrepancies.

The problem is that the conservatives in America openly voted for a tyrant.

While I don't think that there should be widespread "official" consequences for such actions (or else voting wouldn't happen at all), I do think there are some things we should definitely remember how people voted

If a person wishes to not disclose who they voted for we should not force such disclosure.
If they announce their support for or opposition to a candidate, that makes their choice (or opinion) fair game for criticism.
Thank goodness for secret ballots.

The key is the word 'secret'.

In the great state of Ohio, primary ballot selection is public knowledge and readily available on the county website. Doesn't show who you ultimately voted for or if you were trying to be a spoiler, an agent as it were for the other side but unless the person is a complete stranger to you, a pretty fair assumption can be made.

I resent this and the location information Ohio county property tax websites makes available to the public.

When a federal judge shot down a Trump administration policy of holding immigrants without bond last December, it seemed like a serious blow to the president’s mass deportation effort.

Instead, a top Justice Department official insisted the ruling wasn’t binding, and the administration continued denying detainees around the country a chance for release.

By February, the district court judge, Sunshine Sykes, was fed up. Sykes, a nominee of President Joe Biden, accused Trump officials in a ruling that month of seeking “to erode any semblance of separation of powers,” adding that they could “only do so in a world where the Constitution does not exist.”

Hardly isolated, the case illustrates a broader pattern of defiance of lower court decisions in President Donald Trump’s second term.

The failure of Trump officials to follow court orders has been highlighted most notably in individual immigration cases. But a review of hundreds of pages of court records by The Associated Press also shows an extraordinary record of violations in lawsuits over policy changes and other moves.

In the second Trump administration’s first 15 months in office, district court judges ruled it was violating an order in at least 31 lawsuits over a wide range of issues, including mass layoffs, deportations, spending cuts and immigration practices, the AP’s review of court records found. That’s about one out of every eight lawsuits in which courts have at least temporarily blocked the administration’s actions.

Trump says the US Navy has "Shot down" seven Iranian boats. I thought that airplanes got shot down. Boats get sunk.

“Iran has taken some shots at unrelated Nations with respect to the Ship Movement, PROJECT FREEDOM, including a South Korean Cargo Ship. Perhaps it’s time for South Korea to come and join the mission! We’ve shot down seven small Boats or, as they like to call them, ‘fast’ Boats. It’s all they have left,” Trump said.

That depends; Was it blown up, or blown sky-high?

Gas prices are a little high right now, maybe because we're WINNING too much, but that's okay, because REAL Americans know how to adapt. Patriots don't complain, they conserve. Here are some great, very smart tips: Keep your tires properly inflated. Big one. Huge. Saves a lot of gas, people don't even realize. Drive steady, no crazy speeding like the lunatics. Smooth wins. Always. Only drive downhill whenever possible. I've been saying this for years, gravity is FREE energy. Nobody uses it like we should. Fill your tank at night so the gasoline is cooler and therefore more powerful. Science! Do your part. Save gas.
Don't be a liberal Democrat about it.

And only one doll and a pencil for Christmas.

I heard this morning Trump decided to the remove troops from Germany right after he talked to Putin.

JFC! When are we going to get rid of this Manchurian candidate? Obviously he is under Russian influence.
