Yet another war, this time with Iran

Perfect logic. Like “polio is gone. There is no need for vaccines”.
Polio and small pox are gone from India, but not from the sub-continent or elsewhere. That is why we need vaccines.
Russia is better served by trade rather than war, if US would allow it. US economy faces competition from China and India (we are projected to have a bigger economy than US by 2050). That is the reason why US or China are not very happy with India (and befriend Pakistan). Quite natural.

Russia attacked Ukraine, completely unprovoked.
Riiiiight, everyone believes you, even ..... Arestovich.
It's easy to belive Zoidberg on this because there have been no credible and documented provocations from Ukraine or "the west" which would warrant Ukraine's violent annexation by Russia. We recognize that you STILL refuse to provide any after all these years. This denial of reality doesn't excuse your insistence that these alleged provocations exist. You should be ashamed of your lack of intellectual integrity.

Go to the Russia thread and post a list of provocations that justify Russia's murder and theft in Ukraine. I dare you.

Wait. This can't be right. Everyone knows that due to Japan's "economic miracle", they surpassed the US economy 26 years ago.

Thing about growth assumptions is they are just that, assumptions, assumptions based on current information, information that does not change going forward.

These articles are written for audiences a lot younger than you or I, audiences that have little memory of the eighties. You should know better.

The reason that Austria and Switzerland aren't threatened by Nato is that they have no intentions of invading any NATO country.
Is not that funny? Do they have the wherewithal. Whom would they attack? France, Germany?
My point above is that Aupmanyav is trying to claim that Russia should fear Nato. My counter point is that Austria and Switzerland are surrounded by NATO countries and yet they have no fear of NATO.
Russians have reasons for that. Three atomic powers with one comparable/better than them, putting trade sanctions on them.
Just as Austria and Switzerland have not joined NATO and do not fear Russia, other European countries too have no reason to fear Russia and join NATO. As I said, it is banding together with a bully that creates all the problems.

I don't know, maybe there is a language barrier here. But I'm having a hard time getting my point across to you. Lets try this: you claim that Russia is scarred because Nato (a defensive alliance) is on their border. Nato is on the border of Austria and Switzerland also. These two countries are not part of Nato. And yet Austria and Switzerland are not afraid of Nato. Are Austrians and Switzerlandans not as whinny as Russians? Maybe. The real deal is that Nato scares Russia because it prevents or makes much more dangerous their desire to take more land and kill more people. Austria and Switzerland have no desire to conquer. They want to trade with their neighbors and be friends. Russia wants to conquer. And it looks like their next conquest is Armenia. Countries are banding together in common defense to prevent being conquered by Russia. If you can't understand this rationale, I can't help you further here.

I might actually agree with you on that except that it would get more Americans killed.
How is that?
Because I do not Trust Trump to not do something stupid to one of our NATO allies.

Antisemitism is on the rise in India.
We have no problem with Jews or Israel, but we do not like atrocities and killing of Palestinians.
Of course, Indian Muslims, just like Muslims anywhere hate Jews and Israel for that.
Christians too will not like if Christians are persecuted and killed somewhere.
It should not matter what religious belief you have to not like what the Israeli government is doing and allowing to be done to the Palestinians.

Sorry, but there's a crap ton of discussion going on in Austria and Switzerland on the threat of Russia. The belief that their neutrality protects them is waning.

For fuck's sake, NATO have already invaded Russia (in Kursk)
You do know that "NATO" refers to a clearly defined organisation, made up of treaty signatories acting in accordance with the treaty that defines that organisation, right?

"NATO" isn't just a generic shorthand for "people who have reason to dislike Russia". You know that, right?

Because you appear to be using "NATO" in such a way as to make you look like a dishonest idiot, or a crazy conspiracy theorist, or a propagandist loon with no regard for facts.

Yea, I'm not sure which of the above 3 apply to Barbos! I don't think that he actually thinks that Nato troops are in Ukraine fighting Russia. But I think that Russians, in general, have been shocked that Ukrainians have been able to fight so well against mighty Russia. And I think that they are in denial. Ukranian soldiers, while severely undermanned with severe supply shortages, are the best fighters in the world right now for modern combat. The west is now trying to catch up to Ukraine and is employing Ukrainians now to teach us how to fight this modern warfare.

Why do you think that Austria and Switzerland don't fear Nato? Both countries are surrounded by Nato countries. And yet they aren't "weakened by nato border countries". Why is Russia?
Because they do not have 4,000+ bombs. They are nonentities as far as muscle power goes. Russian, Chinese and N. Korean bombs and missiles threaten US dominance. That is what US is concerned about. If it was not for them, Trump would have declared himself the Emperor of the World.

You are very "American centric". I actually think that the US is in decline. America is certainty moving away from Europe. The reason that Austria and Switzerland aren't threatened by Nato is that they have no intensions of invading any NATO country. They want to trade with the other NATO countries. They aren't led by maniacal dictator who wants to conquer land to establish his destiny.
The U.S., despite so many who wish for it to be, is not in economic decline nor is its influence around the globe.

As for Austria, whatever. They're buffered from Russia by four different nations, so their concerns are nowhere near as great as the countries that directly border Russia.

And fuck Switzerland. Its geography makes it worthless in terms of hostile military occupation, which, unlike every other European nation allows it to insulate itself from the real problems in Europe all while patting itself on the back for its bullshit high-minded neutrality. It's the money laundering capital of the western world, and its hands are as bloody as any other nation with respect to turning away Jews during the Holocaust.

Oh, but they have yodeling, elaborately decorate their cows, and have a famous Disneyland ride named after a geographical feature! Yay Switzerland!

I just wanted to give Switzerland some shit.

Sure, the US has the most powerful military and the largest most profitable economy in the world. But in relative terms, there are many signs of decline. I don't think that it will take long for China to overtake it. Some subtle signs that I see: 1) wall street. It's always been a rule of thumb that people invest 90% of their portfolio in the US, 10% foreign. Most experts today advise that investors only keep 75% in the US. Investors are finding better long term returns overseas. 2) We are dramatically losing our soft power. This has dire effect on foreign policy today and will be a big problem in the future. I'm trying to not be too political, as this started a little before Trump. But Trump has greatly accelerated this problem. This means that future military operations that the US undertakes to secure its interests will be very painful and expensive. For example: Russia has zero soft power. The only way that they can keep friendly relations with their direct neighbors is to threaten and bully. Then they have to extend 1,000,000 troops and years' worth of armaments. We'll never have as little soft power as Russia, but it is growing problem for us. We're losing Europe. Canada hates our guts (don't blame them); they are now buying arms from other nations. Much of Asia thinks that we idiots. This is not going to be easy to reverse in the future. 3) It seems to me that our military hasn't adapted to the new military needs of today. Trump wants to build more ships?? Why. I think that we need to be more like Ukraine. Dramatically increase our drone technology. We are struggling in Iran, that should be unacceptable. 4) Our government debt and personal consumer debt is at unsustainable levels. China has problems here also. I could add a few more, but I've probably lost you anyway! We peaked at the end of WW2. IMO, there has been a steady decline ever since. No country in history remains on top forever. Our time is coming.
Paragraph breaks please.

Why not all three? A man can wear many hats (all lined with aluminum foil).
Ukraine has overcome all adversity thus far to include a lack of personnel. Not enough people? Make robots. This year we can expect AI controlled drone swarms that need no operators and will decide for themselves which interceptors will go after which Shahed. They will become very effective.

Sigh.
1. Ukraine invaded Russia near Kursk
2. Ukraine is not part of Nato
3. Ergo Nato did not invade Russia near Kursk.

barbos and Trump have something in common. They both say the most crazy, uninformed, wrong, idiotic shit. It's hard to know if they know that they are spewing idiotic nonsense or if they don't.
I would say that Barbos has fewer roos in his back paddock that Trump. (The more roos your back paddock the worse you are.)
I wonder what the age difference between Trump and Barbos is?
