No, they were obviously living underneath her beach house. Maybe they were hiding in her shed.

I read the report briefly, but I'm pretty sure it said that's where she got exploded.

Well I'm not sure anything will convince me that anything a single nation does is completely justified, but thanks for trying.

So it's an on-off showery day. My daughter took the two kids out for a stroller ride to walk along the side of the road about a mile and half. The kids are appropriately dressed and each has a rain cover. It's 67 degrees F out.

It wasn't raining when she left but it started to shower half way through the walk.

She was on residential roads.

A Karen came out of the house telling my daughter she'll get the kids sick being out in the rain. My daughter said no that's not how you get sick.

The Karen goes in her house and calls the police who intercept my daughter on the walk. They say it's a wellness check. They start telling her it's not safe sleep to ride in a stroller in a rain shower even if the kids are not getting wet. My daughter tells them they are wrong. And people do it all the time in Europe where kids have a lower rate of mortality than in the US. She tells the cops they are being racist. I wouldn't call it racist. I'd say culturally bigoted. My daughter is white.

Cops ask for her ID. She refuses. Says it's none of their business and r
demands the cops name rank and badge number and then leaves.

she got back to the house pretty furious. Really weird.

Omg. Didn’t we all go outside and play in the rain? Wasn’t one of our funnest times splashing in mud puddles?

Not sure I get the racist part but really.

I mean if the kids were unattended alongside the road at their ages, sure: possible neglect.

I’d be tempted to report deranged woman at the house where that woman who complained was.

Please don’t use the name Karen pejoratively it’s a nice name. Some of my best friends are called Karen and not a busybody among them.

It appears the biggest issue the cops had was that the 2 year old and 7 month old actually fell asleep in their stroller seats. Not safe!!!

I grew up with a construction site right in front of my house. I played in a pit partially filled with storm water while my folks watched from the living room window. I'm sure dad would have come out if I disappeared below the surface.
Hmm.
I'm starting to have second thought about this free range kid label I've been using to justify my folks behavior.
