A Day Without Bullshit

Federal agents search Rep. Ilhan Omar’s D.C. home. Homeland Security Investigations, the investigative arm of the Department of Homeland Security, executed the search.

Federal authorities searched the D.C. home of Rep. Ilhan Omar on Monday morning, a person familiar with the matter said, intensifying long-standing immigration-related accusations from Republicans regarding the nation’s first Somali American lawmaker.

Homeland Security Investigations, the investigative arm of the Department of Homeland Security, executed the search. The Justice Department confirmed that it secured a court-authorized warrant for a law enforcement action Monday morning.

“Today in the Washington, D.C. area, Homeland Security Investigations executed a judicially authorized search warrant secured by the Department of Justice. This enforcement action is part of an ongoing federal criminal investigation,” the Justice Department statement said, without naming Omar.

The department did not confirm what investigation the search was connected to. Last month, U.S. officials said federal authorities were investigating whether Omar unlawfully entered the country by falsifying her immigration paperwork.

Actual conservative members here appear to be liberals. Then we have the "other" "conservatives" who... well... appear more interested in distraction.

Trump’s election fraud task force is going after the people who investigated him. President Donald Trump has made no secret of his demands to see charges against former officials.

The White House task force that President Donald Trump charged with uncovering evidence of election fraud hasn’t produced any. Instead, it has shifted to releasing records that his administration is using to help build a public case against officials who investigated him.

The president initially promoted the task force, led by pro-Trump journalist John Solomon, as part of a push to uncover election fraud.

But more recently, the task force has been releasing law enforcement records from past investigations into Trump, including special counsel Robert S. Mueller III’s investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election and special counsel Jack Smith’s investigation into Trump’s handling of classified documents after the end of his first term in early 2021.
