Senator Mitch McConnell was admitted to the hospital on June 14, and his office has provided few updates about his condition. Here’s what we know.

I would have preferred he died in a fire as opposed to natural causes but I'll take what I can get.

No reports on him actually being dead. I think they need to obscure what's going on with him at least enough to push his button in the senate to vote for him.

If he's dead, then they lose a senator until his replacement comes in.

McConnell stole a Supreme Court seat. He also told the children in the GOP to sit down and shut up and get the election finalized after the 1/6 Riot. McConnell was one along a line of the growingly partisan leadership in the GOP. His actions were usually for the party. But he was among a very very small group of two (people who had the capacity to push it through or stop it) that refused to cave to the Trump attempt to seize the election of 2020.

Stealing the SCOTUS seat was unforgivable. Among many other things like the Swift Boat campaign, it laid bare the facts that a political party doesn't have to play by the rules. They can ignore hundreds of years of norms and dignified discourse. Since then, the GOP has learned that it doesn't have to obey laws that had been set in concrete for well over a hundred years.

I don't care how harsh it sounds; I wish the SOB would've died 15 years ago by any means. He's not singlehandedly responsible for where we are today, but he played an important role in it.
