Mitch McConnell Gone?

[bilby]

That photo I posted of Mitch and his wife is a fake.

Which means the death watch is back on.

What is your source for that claim? Last update on Snopes (from yesterday) is that its not confirmed one way or the other (also definitely not AI, though).

https://www.snopes.com/news/2026/07/13/mitch-mcconnell-photo/?

Snopes says definitely AI, but that McConnell's office didn't release it.

Huh? It says in the Snopes article its not AI.

ETA: Actually, re-reading it, the article seems to contradict itself about whether its AI. C'mon Snopes, get it together!!

They've gone downhill since they replaced their researchers with AI...

It took a few reads to parse that link.

So it is a fake image that was released by a third party to make it look like it was a legit fake image from McConnell.

Grok and Google AI agrees with you.

Also Google AI suggests ginger ale to help get rid of abdominal air that was pumped into the abdomin for laproscopic surgery.

So maybe you are wrong?

When it takes so long and yet there are processes already in place it forces one to consider that perhaps the ingredients (i.e. possible candidates) are sus.

Are we there yet?

It pains me to say this, but I agree with Andrew Wang, the democratic party is a dead brand. We're probably going to pretty good in November, and we'll do slightly better than republicans in 2028. But imo, this is more of a function that the republicans are throwing it away due to incredibly dumb shit. Americans are sick of foreign wars and inflation. The republicans don't care! But they will course correct sometime soon. Long term, we are fucked. IMO, we've been fucked since Gore lost. We're flat out dead in more than 30 states. This means that long term, the senate is gone. But then there is a population shift from blue states to red states. We've lost the supreme court for a generation, maybe more. And now, we're losing minorities, younger voters, and women voters. Again, we're going to have a good run for a short time, but long term, the democratic party is dead.

Apparently having a massive coronary event makes you appear much younger.

They say he is still in rehab.

What a cute couple! They have never looked so happy.
Death becomes him.

[TV and credit cards]

They say McConnell went to rehab but I say "No, no, no".
His eyes did turn black and he'll never be back no more, more, more.

Hey, when you’re dead, they can make you up however they want.

To be clear, that is a result of the 2010 election and the criminal level of state legislative gerrymandering because American voters freaked the "fuck out" over the ACA.

This means that long term, the senate is gone. But then there is a population shift from blue states to red states. We've lost the supreme court for a generation, maybe more. And now, we're losing minorities, younger voters, and women voters. Again, we're going to have a good run for a short time, but long term, the democratic party is dead.

Right now the Democrat Party has a couple huge issues. The average American voter and the GOP's relentless drive to win an election. The Democrats passed a private market type solution for health care insurance access and the voters made them pay of which the impact went deep in the US political system. The US prefers liberal policies, but votes Republican (lower taxes) and generally only votes out Republicans when they have fucked up royally. And the GOP had a subliminal advertisement, stepped in the way of counting votes in Florida, made shit up over Kerry's Vietnam service, to either conspired to cause or enabled the Capitol riot. The GOP isn't afraid to fight dirty and message very negatively, or give a middle finger to an election result. According to the GOP, the Democrats are communists now.

Loper Bright was multi-generational for SCOTUS. The election of Trump in 2016 had generational impact. Meanwhile Social Security is headed towards a shortfall. The Democrats can't run on much because Americans want solutions that don't cost anything and they don't want to bother understanding any of the problems and messaging them is nearly impossible... so the Democrat ads are about Data Centers and cost of living.

And bonus issue, Trump normalized bald faced lying.
