Well... it's Trump... again. #47, here we go.

The US delegation walked out of a UN Security Council meeting on Monday, in protest at comments made by France that compared Washington's voting on human rights to that of authoritarian states.

The diplomatic row was initially sparked last week, when the US joined North Korea and Russia in voting against extending Volker Turk's term as UN High Commissioner for Human Rights.

US ambassador Dan Negrea said the delegation would continue to make similar protests until France "renounces their condescending and disrespectful rhetoric".

When can some more defamation cases be brought against this lying piece of shit?
Prolly never. These are OFFICIAL lies, and uttering them is an OFFICIAL act.
I think the SC said Trump couldn't be criminally liable for official acts while in office. I don't think they said anything about civil charges.

WASHINGTON, Jan 22 (Reuters) - Republican U.S. President Donald Trump on Wednesday pardoned, opens new tab two police officers in Washington who were convicted in the 2020 murder of a 20-year-old Black man named Karon Hylton-Brown, the White House said, opens new tab.

In September 2024, Terence Sutton Jr was sentenced, opens new tab to 66 months in prison while Andrew Zabavsky was sentenced to 48 months in prison over "an unauthorized police pursuit that ended in a collision on Oct. 23, 2020, that caused the death of Karon Hylton-Brown, 20, in Northwest Washington D.C.," the Justice Department said last year. The officers remained free pending the outcomes of their appeals.

The Metropolitan Police Department said Sutton, in his early 40s, and Zabavsky, in his mid-50s, were on "indefinite suspension without pay, pending our administration process."
Sutton was found guilty by a unanimous federal jury in late 2022, after a nine-week trial, of second-degree murder, conspiracy to obstruct, and obstruction of justice. The same jury found Zabavsky guilty of conspiracy to obstruct and obstruction of justice.
The jury had found that Sutton caused Hylton-Brown's death by driving a police vehicle in "conscious disregard" for an extreme risk of death or serious bodily injury to Hylton-Brown.

It also found that Sutton and Zabavsky conspired to hide from officials the circumstances of the traffic crash leading to Hylton-Brown's death.
The DC Police Union had sought a pardon for the two officers.

I believe that is on hold until after the Presidency, unless the charge is before the Presidential term. Though, SCOTUS can just change that too.

SCOTUS needs to be brought to heel. ASAP

Capital One says Trump Organization accounts were closed after money laundering review

Lawyers for Capital One on Friday asked a federal judge to dismiss a lawsuit brought by President Trump’s trust over its closing of Trump Organization-affiliated accounts years ago, saying it did so only after money laundering concerns were flagged by experts.

While attorneys for the Trump Organization, led by Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump, have alleged Capital One closed more than 300 Trump-linked accounts in 2021 over politics, lawyers for the defendants wrote in a Friday court filing that the financial institution closed the accounts “for anti-money laundering” reasons.

“The closures were the result of months of analysis and a careful review by Capital One’s [anti-money laundering] team in accordance with bank policies and regulatory guidance,” added the 23-page motion, filed in federal court in the Southern District of Florida.

“Capital One never publicized the termination decision nor its confidential internal process giving rise to the closure, and it permitted Plaintiffs several months (and granted several extensions) to find new banking services, which they did,” the filing continued.

The right-wing media ecosystem that has spent years building up President Donald Trump's image and promoting his causes is now splintering, according to a new report.

Many of the most prominent right-wing personalities have seen their platforms shrivel up, according to an analysis by The New York Times published on Friday.

Podcaster Benny Johnson has lost millions of YouTube views since Trump's re-election high, while Dan Bongino's livestream audience has shrunk by roughly half since he briefly left broadcasting to serve as FBI deputy director before resigning months later. Ben Shapiro's YouTube numbers cratered from 27 million weekly views in 2024 to about 4 million, and his outlet The Daily Wire has seen web traffic collapse by half. Nick Fuentes, architect of the neo-Nazi "Groyper" movement, admitted in an email last year, “It seems that everyone in the space is experiencing a drop-off in views from 2025.”
