The woke issues with claims and counter claims has been going on here for some time, old news. Yawn. Excitable conservatives declarer it to be the end of world. The other side calls it justice. To me both sides have legitimate arguments, and both sides turned into a crusade. Polarized politics.
Wokism is turning liberalism and liberal values into a group think cult. The cultish nature of it is the problem. Not the values behind it.
And the mindset treats any pushback against the cultism as an attack on liberalism or liberal values. Which is complete bullshit. That does not at all follow and not what I ever had a problem with.
I'd go so far as wokism is completely separate from any ideology or politics. It's the style of debating that's problematic, rather than the content of the ideas.
It's the use of domineering and harrassing tactics to bully the opposition into submission. It's anti democratic and anti-free speech and anti free debate.
It's also another perfect example of Hegalian dialectics. Conservative values ruled the world up until the 1990'ies, and then it shifted. As liberal values became dominant that started to build up steam and then some liberal debaters started employing the same domineering tactics we previously associated with conservatives (pre 1990). Thesis and anti-thesis.
As wokism reached it's peak it became an ever more suffocating intellectual climate. So liberals reacted and started turning on it, until it's power was gone. Today liberals can't bully anyone into anything any longer. Yay, for the world. We're free again. Synthesis.
Now let's all prepare for the next intellectual trend that inevitably will become overly dominant and suffocate us in 30 years. So all let's enjoy breathing free air while it lasts
As to gays. Way back when I looked at it there was no medical science smoking gun that defined a cause for homosexuality, regardless it has existed throughout human history.
There is variation in all of nature, nothing is cookie cuter reproduction. That there is a distribution ot variation in sexuality is not a surmise,
Among heteros male and fern ale voices vary. Females can sound masculine, males can sound feminine. General Patton famously had a high pitched squeaky voice, nothing lke George C Scott in the movie.

I don't want to debate it. I never said I wanted to. I have no interest in talking anyone into anything. I found youtube that I thought was interesting. If I found it interesting, then perhaps other people might also find it interesting. So I posted it. That's the extent of it.
I never claimed it fit into a larger picture of anything. I never claimed it proved or disproved something ideological. And if someone does, I have zero interest in arguing for anything.
As far as I could find, there is no objective evidence that gays pose any greeter threat to the public then heteros. For me that was the end of the story. No reason to deny equal rights to gays.
I don't know why you feel the need to mention this. I don't understand understand who you are arguing against.

If anyone here thinks I don't support gay rights, then they have not paid attention to a word I have said on this forum. From day one joining this forum, I think I have been consistent in my support for liberal values.
