We don't get Russian movies for the obvious reason no one wants to watch Russian cinema. What we do have is thousands of short videos of burning refineries and warehouses, all recorded by Russian citizens who don't seem to realize that Ukraine needs that kind of information. One of the problems of pretending the Special Military Operation is not a war is your citizens are going to see a burning Wildberries as a news event, not target accuracy and munition effectiveness military intelligence.

Are you sure? It's "history" was ~69 years; Stalin himself ruled for 31 of those, so it was not only stalinist, but actual factual Stalin-led for 45% of its history. It took Khrushchev three years before he denounced stalinism, so to avoid crossing the line into "most of its history", his destalinization efforts would have needed to be blindingly quick.
