Nov 3rd 2026 - GO OUT AND VOTE - democracy is on the line.

If you stir them up they might vote again, and what they might vote for, you can’t predict due to past failures in the “rational behavior” arena.
Yes today we voted for our favorite members of the 2 party crime syndicate.
Butthurt much?

The hypocrisy is stunning.

Is this the point where when the subject of Trump comes up and you say "Trump? Never heard of him."

In 2006, this was the point where supporters for W were becoming harder to find. In 2007, the W Admin finally changed tactics in Iraq and things started getting better there. The current leader lacks any sense of pragmatism that has nothing to do with his own self-image. People voted against Hormuz and Tariffs. Does he care? He doesn't even get it!

RVonse doesn't even get that Trump's indifference is so much larger than being an indifferent to RVonse's issues with the nation, Trump is indifferent as to RVonse's (and pretty much any one else who isn't a mirror to Trump) existence at all.

We will see. We will see just how much of the Epstein corruption the Democrats will uncover now that they can. Especially Trumps involvement with the same. We will see what happens with the Iran war too.

I predict nothing at all. And business as usual. Same script with a different cast of players.

Quote of the Motherfucking Day:

"I don't like to consider it a defeat for me. I wasn't on the ballot," Trump told Fox News late Tuesday night, a message that was the opposite of what he spent weeks saying on the campaign trail.

"There was a mood in the air, I guess," he continued. "I shouldn't feel guilty because … no matter how good the president is, you lose" in the midterms.

Watching election results last night, I was suddenly looking forward to what this fucking idiot would say, and by gum, he didn't disappoint.

He pointed his finger at ~65% of the electorate and said, "I'm awesome, you people are morons, and so are the dipshit Republicans who lost."

Unfortunately, we have at least two more years to put up with this walking infected abscess, so a lot can happen. What I do find encouraging though is that I had a real fear that we'd lost our free and fair elections, but I was proven wrong.

The sitting President’s party may typically lose the midterms but they almost never lose this badly. Texas, Kansas, both Carolinas, and maybe even Mississippi?? Sheesh!

The status quo isn't business as usual. Trump is far from normal business as usual. The DoJ being weaponized isn't normal. Whatever the heck Iran is and how badly Trump and Hegseth have managed it... is exactly like Iraq, but that wasn't normal either. US provides intelligence support in the Libya overthrow and Democrats are just as bad as the people that got the Strait of Hormuz closed off. *rolls eyes*
Same script with a different cast of players.
You have no idea what is going on right now. SCOTUS is dismantling the Administrative State. The Trump Admin is decentralizing and closing up shop with a number of Administrative orgs. The role and function of the Executive Branch is being completely changed right now. SCOTUS is transitioning regulatory powers to pre-1950s levels aiming for pre-20th Century levels, while endorsing religiously based discrimination, sending those rights to pre-1980s while leaving the door open to going back to pre-1950s.

You don't pay attention to any of these things. You coddled up with yet another conspiracy, and when Trump backed off, and when the tariffs no longer helped the mills, you were left with nothing, and now you are pouting against the system, instead of narcissist criminal who lied to you.

Did any commentators (outside of Mississippi itself) even mention Mississippi before they started counting the votes there?

It seems sometimes that I read the news all day and I only saw mention of Mississippi as possibly in play perhaps 2-3 days before the election.

At least he's not screaming fraud... yet.

He probably will but I don't think that with such a widespread ass kicking that the GOP got that it will get much traction. At least I hope not.

I wonder what that other evil piece of shit Todd Blanche is going to say.

Jezz, even Texas will now have a female, latino, Democratic governor! Bye bye Abbott!

The status quo isn't business as usual. Trump is far from normal business as usual.
The status quo is not recognizing nor fixing corruption..... this is what Washington wants (and not just Trump). The Epstein debacle is the absolute pinnacle of corruption.... yet our new coming Democrat congress will do absolutely nothing about it. Not because they will be powerless but because they will follow their script handed to them by the Republicans.

Although Trumps war with Iran was a big surprise to MAGA.....it shouldn't have been because this was business as usual too. We are all about to see what the Democrats don't do to end that as well. Even though our Democrat congress should be well within its authority not to fund a war it did not start in the first place.

What a minute, you voted for Trump even though you expected him to start a war as well as do nothing about corruption?

His corruption was known and on par with Washington. But the war with Iran was a surprise and betrayal to most of his supporters.

He's like an especially idiotic and obnoxious boy crying wolf. He's screamed "Fraud!" so many time that it's lost its impact.

Yep. When they blinked hard, rubbed their eyes, said, is this right and started throwing money at it.

He us a convicted felon with a long lust of corrupt dealings. Trump’s corruption is massive in comparison to Washington corruption.

But you wrote his supporters shouldn’t have been surprised. Are you saying they are stupid?

It sounds like sour grapes to this observer.

^That
There is a lot of work to do before this country can even begin to restore democracy. It will likely require impeaching a few people, maybe expanding the SC, outlawing all the shit that people in power used to refrain from, until The Felon showed them they could get away with anything they wanna do unless it is explicitly forbidden by laws and penalties assigned for breaking them… that’s a LOT of shit, before doing stuff to improve the public’s lot can move to the front burner.

This is a much more important thing than one would consider. Our democracy relied on adherence to tradition and protocol. You can't legislate everything! And that protocol has generally been adhered to with the minor scuffle in the 1861-1865 period as well as the 1876 election. Trump showed that none of it mattered and you could simply shove it aside without any consequence. What I've learned in life is that sociopaths will act like sociopaths, because we let them and they abuse the system to their advantage.

I don't know if that is repairable.

I don't know if that is repairable.
Probably not preventable. But it can be discouraged and perhaps occasionally punished. And that should effect, at least, a reduction in the frequency and severity of such transgressions.
