Fox News actually had pretty grounded and sensible coverage of the Midterms this morning, on the whole. Can't speak to the Guardian, but I don't think Fox has published anything about Abdul El-Sayed being an unashamed communist, fundamentalist Muslim.

While he was absent, his office only said that he was dealing with a "personal medical issue", and nobody responded to reporters knocking on his NJ house's door. Other Republican politicians stated that they had talked to him, but gave nothing specific.
This is much like Mitch McConnell's absence, and Soviet Leader Yuri Andropov's absence, explained as from a "bad cold".
On his return, he made a floor speech in the House where he said that clinical depression is much worse than simply being sad. “Until you experience it yourself, it is difficult to fully understand how powerful this illness can be.”

It's a shorthand for a threat, and should not be understood literally. Like "you'd all be speaking German". German language has existed for more than a 1000 years before the supposed 1000 Year Reich, but nobody takes an issue with that phrase.
I am far more concerned with the far-left gloating over this. Like David Hogg (what a haram name!) replying with "Inshallah!". They are not even trying to hide their islamophilia any more.

No, he is not a "communist". But he has been affiliated with fundamentalist Muslim Brotherhood since college, and as recently as this year taking money from Islamist groups and speaking at the Islamist ISNA conference, which has ties to MB.
