148 dead in one attack virtually certainly means far more than 5,000 dead total.

And you're blaming the oil-for-food program for deaths that were caused by Saddam's misuse of it. There was plenty of unspent oil for food money, it can't be blamed for the deaths.

The whole program was doomed to failure from the start. Proper trade would have been the solution. It involved all parties including the head of this program Benon Sevan. There is also a lot of false information surrounding this where sanctions should not have been in place in the first place. When a fish goes rotten, it starts at the head. The US, UK and other American poodles.

It was doomed because Saddam wasn't interested in the welfare of his people, he was interested in getting weapons.

It doesn't matter why the deaths occurred.

The US knew the deaths were occurring and did nothing to stop them, when it could have.

That was a price the US was nobly willing to pay.

The price would have been giving Saddam free reign to rearm and thus face more wars. There was no good answer, something the left does a very poor job of comprehending.

Why is every alternative to US crimes and immorality the end of the planet as we know it?

In your world.

We should not have wet nursed the terrorists such as Bin Laden with support against the Russians in Afghanistan. Subsequently he bit the hand that fed him. The attacks support the case that with the collapse of the regimes which the US engineered with the allies, resulted extremist groups filling the vacuum.

Revisionism.

We supported a lot of rebels. Most of them became the new government of Afghanistan after the Soviets were kicked out. A few, like Bin Laden, didn't want to give up their positions as war leaders and with Pakistani help staged their own rebellion and eventually pretty much conquered Afghanistan. That war was still ongoing as of 9/11--the "Northern Alliance" that we used as the main ground force of the conquest of Afghanistan was the remains of the government that had seized control from the Soviets.

This is thus a case of a few bad apples, not of the rebels turning around and biting the hand that fed them.

I reckon we should just invite all ISIS members into Sweden, in that case they'll throw down their arms and embrace western values - you know, being nice to bad guys usually works wonders - give them a few swedish blonde sluts to keep them happy as well

The ones leaving Syria are the ones who don't like ISIS. I welcome anybody who hates ISIS and Assad. The most militant atheist I know is Iranian.

Too bad US and its allies supported a rebellion in Syria that let ISIS fill the void.

But the vast majority of moslems follow their so called holy quran which teaches them hate of the infidels, and to go forth and conquer, to make the whole planet Islam.

You keep saying this; But it isn't true.

Most Muslims no more hate the infidels, go forth and conquer, or attempt to make the whole planet Islam than most Christians refuse to wear mixed fibres, sell all their goods and give the proceeds to the poor, or pray only in private.

The way religious people ACTUALLY BEHAVE is, in the VAST MAJORITY of cases, only very loosely based on the instructions in the scripture they claim to respect.

A TINY MINORITY of Muslims behave in the way you say; the VAST MAJORITY observably do NOT.

Given how easy this is to see, with even a cursory examination of the behaviour of actual Muslims, it beggars belief that you persist in trying to persuade us that it is untrue. Reality ALWAYS trumps theory; Observation ALWAYS trumps hypothesis.

Of the ones in the Middle East I'll agree with the hate part--it's not just following the book but what they keep hearing over and over in society.

As for going forth and conquering I disagree, though. While they might see that as a good thing they're not going to actively do anything about it. They just want to live their lives.

Remove the billions upon billions that are being poured into terrorism and the problem would become more like the problems America has with Christian extremists--an occasional nutjob, not wholesale terrorism.

The majority do believe their imams that tell them Islam will rule the world as it's the will of allah. They eventually will outbreed all other religions.

Free speech is where we have to read what we don't like or agree with.

He had weapons, lots of them supplied by the West and Gas from Germany. This was not the problem. The allies claimed he had weapons of mass destruction and found none.

I said "please." But regardless, it has nothing to do with disagreeing with angelo. It's the fact that he's proven completely and utterly wrong on just about every single assertion he makes, but he keeps repeating the same fucking bullshit over and over and over anyway. He's clearly incapable of contributing anything of value.

Wrong in practically everything? For example!
