Abdulaziz claimed he came out of the bedroom to offer the girl a T-shirt to sleep in or pay for a cab ride home. But when she pulled him towards her, he fell. He said that’s when his erect penis must have accidentally penetrated her.

I really don't find it too awfully surprising given the Rotherham debacle. That was many thousands of rapes....this is just one.

Agreed. The defendant was a rich Saudi millionaire. So much of the culture of the middle east and Asia runs on graft and corruption, I wouldn't be surprised if 2 or 3 of those jurors suddenly ended up with a good bit of folding money in their pockets after the trial.

But this is in England. I assumed that they would have more safeguards on the integrity of their legal system than one would expect to find in a shithole like Saudi Arabia. Apparently, that was mistaken assumption on my part.

Does it matter if the victim was a prostitute? (I don't know if she was BTW), but who cares? If consent was not given, IT WAS RAPE!

It doesn’t seem the claim is that his penis entered her. But maybe it is, or maybe it's all just super-crappy reporting.

Still rape? Yeah, maybe. After all, it doesn’t necessarily require penile penetration for it to be rape. But the reportage needs to be more complete and accurate to do anything other than simply project imaginations onto this.

Crappy reporting in my opinion. There's no way a jury would accept "I fell on top of her and woops ! My penis penetrated her vagina." as a defense. We are not being told the full story.

Yes, that is all true, but the guy was rich... and some women do lie about rape.

Some women do! I am not disputing that. I have not been through the court process, but I can tell you that a woman asleep CANNOT and HAS NOT consented to sexual intercourse of any description. That fact alone makes it rape.

If she has lied about the whole process, but that doesn't excuse a RICH man for taking what may not have been offered a second time.

Did you click the link? According to him he had semen in his hands, and she pulled his hand to her genital area. Not saying that makes any more sense, but that's his side of the story.
