Milo ‘Permanently Suspended’ From Twitter Following Row With Leslie Jones

But of course, Leslie calling Milo "uncle Tom of gay people" is perfectly acceptable, right?
First you will have to prove irrefutably that she actually tweeted it. The "alt-R" people got caught creating phony tweets attributed to Leslie Jones as part of their day-long on-line assault.

Saying Leslie Jones looks like a dude is not what got Milo permanently banned, and you know it.
So what do you think got him banned?

Already posted a link to a rather extensive article on the reason. Read it.

Don't think this is right either. BUT, I wouldn't consider this WORSE. Hell, MILF is a compliment in many circles. And I see no comparisons to animals or calls for her death.
Not a fan or impressed by Melania, but here you go:
Oddly enough, half of those were Milo's tweets. ;)

Regardless, it is wrong whomever is doing it. I would ponder, 443 for the b-word. Is that a high number compared to defamatory comments that'll be used against Democrats?

She retweeted it and I have no reason to believe she didn't.

"Uncle Tom" is a serious and very ugly insult. It attempts to delegitimize members of certain groups (blacks originally, gays here) who do not toe the party line.
Calling her "dude" and criticizing her spelling come nowhere close.

You mean the Almara one? It does not show Milo tweeting anything banworthy. Some others have tweeted racist stuff against her but I have not seen anything Milo posted that would justify the ban. I think Twitter just went berserk against everybody who tweeted anything negative about Leslie.

Why do conservatives always defend the assholes? Whenever an asshole gets in trouble for something, they always rush to the asshole's defense.

prove it.

As I said, the "alt-R" group got caught creating phony tweets and pretending they were hers.

baloney  It is the title character of a classic book. If used as a slur, it refers to someone who is subservient and attempting to curry favor with the power group - which doesn't remotely describe a woman-hater like Milo - but it also is not remotely as vile as what was hurled at Leslie Jones.

And furthermore, you attempting to reduce this to a "tit for tat" game ignores Milo's long history of trolling on Twitter - behavior that has previously earned him Twitter time-outs and lose of his blue check mark.

You *think* wrong. His tweets at/about Leslie Jones were simply the last straw in a long history of behavior from him.

Who is this person? I've seen the name, but I have even less familiarity with him than I do the Cardassians or whatever they are called.

Ok, I think that internet sleuths may have figured out what the reason (or pretext) for Milo being banned was:

It was retweeting fake tweets from Leslie Jones that is by the TOS a form of impersonation or libel I think.

This is the archive of Milo's twitter that is very likely real (not sure if archive.is can be faked). He "retweeted" these two fake tweets, one which said: "tha goddamn kikes at Sony aint paid me yet! damn bix nood better pay up!!!1!"

(bix nood is a racist term for "black people" gibberish - take my word on it don't look up the meme)

Anyway, this was not going to convince anyone that it was real, but by the letter of the TOS he was dead to rights in the wrong.

This is the archive:

Funny thing about Milo, is that all of the "pillow talk" pictures he posts of himself with young guys are all of slightly younger white guys. But he always bragging about banging almost only black guys. I think it is just to be a troll of his base and they don't even know it.

Twitter confirmed it has permanently banned Breitbart Tech editor and alt-right provocateur Milo Yiannopoulos for allegedly violating its “hateful conduct policy”.

The contretemps has been brewing all week, as Milo engaged in a barbed to and fro with embattled Ghostbusters star Leslie Jones over her Twitter feud with trolls who hated her new movie. At one point the CEO of Twitter Jack Dorsey intervened himself, asking Jones to direct message him. Milo himself said nothing racist, though he joked that Jones’ grammatically challenged quips at him were “barely literate”, said America needs better schools and referred to Jones facetiously as “a black dude”.

Earlier today Milo said he was not sorry for his dialogue with Jones.
Don't know who this Milo person is--don't care.
Leslie Jones' performance was the only dependably good thing in a quite uneven movie (Kristen Wiig, especially in her interactions with MM, was the most consistently lame thing in the movie).

So, I am surprised that Twitter didn't seem to use Milo's reposting of fake tweets from Leslie Jones as a reason for the banning. That is the only thing that was clear cut.
However, twitter doesn't seem to ban fake tweeters often, right?

Speaking of fake tweets, is this ban worthy? Also, could this (if said in UK of a UK politician) be actionable in places like the UK?

It's amazing how people aren't nearly as up in arms about Milo's tweets as they are about him getting suspended.

I don't use twitter, but I read over his actual tweets at the center of this controversy, and it's nothing rises above the level of petty bitchiness. It was stupid of twitter to ban him, it definitely did him a favor.

He asked for it.

Fucking regressive leftist.

Yiannopoulos said:
So perhaps what’s needed now is a bolder form of censure after all, because the internet is not a universal human right. If people cannot be trusted to treat one another with respect, dignity and consideration, perhaps they deserve to have their online freedoms curtailed. For sure, the best we could ever hope for is a smattering of unpopular show trials. But if the internet, ubiquitous as it now is, proves too dangerous in the hands of the psychologically fragile, perhaps access to it ought to be restricted. We ban drunks from driving because they’re a danger to others. Isn’t it time we did the same to trolls?

Oh look, another racist in trouble and yet again, conservatives crawl out of there woodwork to defend him. But don't call him racist. That would be mean and hurt his fragile feelings.
